2022 CT4-V Blackwing
Hello Everyone, I'm still under warranty on my 22 4BW and so far have has the dealer commit to replacing both rear brake lights due to delamination of the plastic layers, then again after water intrusion. Most recently they replaced the CF wing due to either a manufacture defect or it dried out and pulled away from the body and the weather gasket failed allowing water to leak into the trunk. I noticed that water would drip out of the pull handle when I opened it after washing it.

What has everyone else seen? Anything seem very common I should look into before warranty finishes?

I absolutely love the car, I had a ATS-V previously but this is so nice.

I'm pretty sure the rear spoilers don't fully contact the body on the edges FWIW. The gasket should still be sealing most of it though.

I have 49k miles and the only replacement has been deivers door security lock module (door stopped opening).

I’ve had all 4 wheels touched up after the car carrier damaged all 4 during delivery. They also damaged a plastic undercarriage piece which they replaced. And my ac went out a couple of years ago and was replaced under warranty.

Had to have the driver’s side mirror replaced on my ‘25 because it was clicking when moving from the folded position to open.

Ha ha. I can beat that. GM replaced the whole car for me. My 2025 five Blackwing developed an electrical/computer issue that the dealer could not fix. They tried for about six or seven times before GM agreed to replace the car for me. I now have a 2026 Blackwing five that is working flawlessly, thank God.

Had the battery replaced under warranty on my ’23 CT5-V Blackwing this summer after the original one was diagnosed with a bad cell. The battery went completely dead after the car sat for 12 days while I nursed a torn rotator cuff. The key fob would do nothing. I had to use the mechanical door lock to get in. Managed to get enough of a charge on the battery to drive it to the dealer for diagnosis.

Make sure your oil pan is not leaking. It's a MAJOR job to replace, requiring over 24 hours labor. There was a batch of OE pans that had porous pans, so be sure! you don't want to pay for that replacement!

Nothing. I'm happy to say the car has been flawless for three years and 10K miles.....now that I said that...knock on wood.

Hey, same here! My replacement was built last week and is shipping soon. My electrical issues ended up getting to the point where the car was totally dead, doors wouldn't even open.

In order so far:
  • Lots of initial paint work and body panel alignment
  • 2X Bank 1 catalytic converters
  • Bank 1 spark plugs
  • Front and rear tires
  • Repaired wheels from tire inst'l
  • Right rear emergency brake electrical wire
  • Driver seat lumbar assy
Car's been fantastic to me even with those issues. Knock on wood.

A fuel module lit up the CEL. Not sure what its function was exactly as the car drove fine until I was able to bring into dealer.

Bank 2 injectors and fuel rail, along with bleeding/burping the intercooler for persistent code first 900 miles. Has not returned last 600 miles. 2026 5BW
