CT5-V Blackwing Ordered
Hello all. I ordered a 2026 CT5-V Blackwing back in May, my TPW is 7/28. I’m extremely excited and happy to join these forums.

I was looking to purchase a fun manual daily driver earlier this year and was really impressed by the GR Corolla. I had worked up a deal for at the dealership, and was ready to pick up the car, but then my wife took a look at the Toyota and laughed at how ugly it was. She hated it, and I understood, it did feel like a cheap little thing. I just cared that it was sporty and manual.

She didn’t have to tell me twice to treat myself with something nicer. I ordered a BMW M3. I grew up a BMW guy, but was not really in love with the new generation. Still, I was sure I’d love it more than the Corolla. But I wasn’t convinced I’d love the M3, so I kept looking. I built a deep space metallic BW with bronze wheels on the website and was in love.

I called a few dealers and none had a manual in stock. So I started asking about allocations. I got lucky and found a dealer who said they’d be happy to help me and we were off to the races. I’ve been lurking this forum since my order but decided to just join now since I clearly cannot contain my excitement.

Welcome. Enjoy your time at the goat rodeo. :)

Has anyone taken delivery of a 2026 5 BW?

Two posters on these forums have taken delivery of 2026. Both look to be auto. I see a few 26 autos in dealer inventory near me, the manuals all seem to be in transit.

I just picked up a 2025 a couple of days ago so I guess I should have waited for a 26 but oh well I'm pretty happy with it so I guess I should be okay.

I feel the op on the Gr Corolla and also the M3. I was contemplating picking up a gr Corolla but I didn't have any need for extra cars which I may not drive and it'll be just sitting around and then probably my family and kids would think it was not very cool either.

I used to have a 2009 E90 M3 back in the day and I was also considering an M3 or an m4 but for some reason I couldn't pull it off and didn't feel like going for a BMW again for whatever reason although I did try a few times.

For some reason I keep clicking with GM products and the family has a suburban high country and I have a few Corvette Z06 vehicles, Silverado rst 6.2 black widow lifted, and now this black wing. I think it's a bit overpriced by maybe $20,000 but I guess we have little choice since it's a specialty high performance vehicle that's not widely available especially in manual transmission and the supercharged Camaro ZL1 engine. Always wanted a Camaro ZL1 but I missed my boat I guess since I'm a bit slow. Took my kids out for a spend earlier today and the ct5 blackwing is a great vehicle and the kids had a thrill in it. Lots of torque and lots of power without much drama like Z06 engine/exhaust noise and such. It is definitely a sleeper high performance sedan which not many will appreciate for the money I guess and I bet the M3 and m4 are bigger sellers for BMW but I personally feel the ct5 blackwing was definitely worth giving a try and I see myself as a repeat customer in the future as well for future iterations unless they mess it up by going hybrid or electric by chance.

Sorry for the long post and wearing everybody out on my personal experiences on the opening poster's thread but I do wish the opening poster an enjoyable experience with the incoming 2026 model year. Feel free to post up a review and your insight on the vehicle and I'm sure you're very excited. Good luck and don't forget to post pictures. Here's my 2025 that I picked up a couple of days ago.

Sweet ride! Happy to hear you’re enjoying it.

Did not think I’d meet another GR Corolla contemplator here. I had a 2021 BMW M2 Comp and enjoyed it, but really just got bored of how technical it felt. A supercharged V8 is more my style.

Will definitely post pictures and thoughts once mine comes in. Cheers!

There are also GR Corolla owners in here. Fun car, great complement to the BW.
