Tall Steve's Blackwings

The Lyriq has been around since '22 as well. The new V model just has a little more juice and updated software. Its so posh and quiet and comfy too. But it is still pretty good sized. Its VERY snug in my one car garage. But that size gives you tons of room inside.

I've not taken any "good" pics yet but here are some dealership pics from Dustin..
After driving this beast all weekend I can now say I was wrong about EV's! It drives/handles like a dream and it's OMG quick....My wife loves it and that's all that really matters anyway, lol.....

It's good to finally know your full name, Steven.

...I always thought it was Steve!😘

What else do we need to call into question? He is probably not even that tall. 😛

Note that I still owe “tall” Steven for pointing me in Dustin’s direction. I picked my car from him last month.

I'm glad I could help! I'm really 5'3" 220lbs, but incredibly handsome....

Congrats!

Would you be able to explain in more detail how you so quickly changed your mind on EVs? Is it the handling that you were skeptical of? I'm not fully convinced by EVs but they do intrigue me. Mainly I feel that the entire infrastructure is not ready yet. I never drove an ev but I was a passenger in a lucid and a lyriq. I've never been a fan of teslas at all design and build quality wise and possibly and unintentionally lumped all evs into one group in my mind. I just find it hard with my appreciation of gas powered v8s to consider electric a reasonable option at this point. What are we unable to see that's so good?

I can answer for me based on my poor man's Lyriq (Acura ZDX).

As a pure commuter or grocery getter, an EV is unmatched. Really quick, silent, and basically maintenance free other than tires. Doesn't need to be warmed up on a cold day. Never need to stop for gas. No need for mechanical sympathy. Get in it and go foot to the floor.

There are no infrastructure issues when you're driving less than ~200 miles a day and can charge it up overnight at home. Mine will never be publicly charged; I have my wife's SUV and my CT4 for long trips or fun drives.

Could it be my only car? No. For its purpose? It's great.

I was always afraid of the milage "limit" and being able to charge it when needed but after learning more about EV's and charging options I feel more comfortable now, and i'm having a level 2 charging system installed at my home for convenance.

The LYRIQ drives great, handles well, quick, comfortable, lol quiet, and I can't believe i'm saying this but fun to drive. At first I thought it would be soulless and unengaging but it's not. I still LOVE my Blackwing and always will but sometime it's fun to try something new and different.

Matt really said it well and I don't know how to really describe my new found liking for the LYRIQ...

I could not have said it better.

Congrats @Tall Steve .....Guess you're still broke and living in the ghetto. Glad you take care of Dustin....I mean, Dustin takes care of you.

Very nice. I didn't even know the "V" was out yet.
