V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2025 4BW 6MT
Order placed Dec 23, 2024 / Allocation Jan 17, 2025 / Built Mar 10, 2025 / Delivered Apr 29, 2025!

Early impressions:
- LOVE the color. Initially ordered DSM but changed my mind the next day since our old Outback is already more or less DSM. I like how the Drift Metallic is blue in sunlight, but looks gray / almost white in other lighting conditions. Seems like a classic GM color. Also good for sunny FL.
- Ventilated seats are awesome, especially here in FL
- Haven't had it much over 3000rpm yet so haven't really felt the turbos kick in. It's not really that hard for me to stick to the recommended break-in procedure, because I KNOW the power is there. I just laugh at the bozos in the big pickup trucks who blow by me.
- Just an awesome car. Drove my G35 for a LONG time and hope to have the 4BW even longer.
- Interior: Everyone says the Blackwing interiors are a step down from the BMW M3's, but I don't see it. I was in a couple of M3s at the BMW dealership before I ordered the 4BW, and I'd call them roughly comparable. As others have said, the super-wide screen on the M3 seems "designed to impress in the showroom." I'm happy to have an array of physical buttons and knobs in the Cadillac.
- Stereo: It's better than the Bose in my old G35 for sure. I think I "sort of" agree with others on the lack of stereo separation, but I'll reserve judgment until I play more with the settings.
- Ceramic: Did it myself using Meguiar's Ultimate Ceramic. Easy to use. I might have to reapply a couple of times a year but I'm not complaining about that!
- Ordered some leather ceramic for the interior. Especially because of the light gray seats.
- Back seat room: Everyone complains about this, but back seat room seems just fine to me, as long as the front passengers don't have their seats way back. No worse than most other performance sedans I've been in.

Things that could be better:
- A real handbrake would be nice, given the type of car this is.
- What's with having to hit the clutch AND brake to start the car? Clutch should be enough. This seems like a safety issue, if the car were to stall in an intersection for example.
- What's with the little green car icon at the top of the instrument panel when there's a car in front of you? Shouldn't you already know there's a car in front of you? Is there a way to turn this off? Seems like a little thing but it's annoying.
- I wish there was no OnStar. "Supposedly" GM doesn't sell your info anymore, but is there a way to completely turn off OnStar without disabling other features?

Must-have features:
- I'm here because of the stick shift and HP!

To-do:
- Window tint. Friends have recommended 15% tint on the side/back windows. Curious to know what others have done.

Overall, man, what a car.

Congrats, I also came from a G37S Sedan to the 4BW. No comparison, the BW is better in every regard including rear seat room.
