Hey all - long time lurker, finally decided to say hi. As the title says, that's my vibe. Got my 2026 CT5 Blackwing manual in Argent Silver in October 2025 from Sewell. Entire process was not as bad as I thought it would be. I got a slick top, no carbon fiber, mid-priced seats, manual, no sun roof, and red seat belts with red brake calipers, so I skipped over the folks that had the carbon fiber. I'm currently using it as a daily driver, putting on 1200-1500 miles a month and loving everyone one of them. This thing is just so fun to drive. I love it, wife loves it, kids love it. The Smiles Per Gallon metric is off the charts.
Back story is that for my 40th birthday I bought a 2017 Chevy SS manual with 4K miles in silver. Loved that thing too, until it was stolen out of my driveway in the middle of the night. Surveillance cameras captured it all, it was a professional job. Hid an Apple AirTag in the car and tracked it with the cops for 4 days until they found the tag and threw it out. Car was found 35 days later by Fish and Game on a back road, stripped to the bone. Argued with insurance for bit, but got a decent payout. I needed a car, so I leased a new Pruis Prime. I see why people like it, but not me, that car was terrible. I knew the Blackwing was the move I needed to make, and I wanted the new body style. On the first day I brought it up to the wife, she responded with "I want you to live your dreams." Great answer, wife. I put the order in next week and waited about 7 months.
For those wondering about the comparasion of the SS vs. the Blackwing, there really is nothing to compare except they both had a manual, 4 doors and were silver. The SS had more of a raw attitude, it felt like a Chevy Malibu SRT, but it was still very fun to drive. However, totally different than the Blackwing. The Cadillac is in another league.
The only mods I have are custom high-plush floor mats, tints, IGLA, and a gloss black PPF roof.
