Help me decide

I need help deciding what to do about my 5bw order.

I put in a few orders for an Electric Blue 5bw at 3 dealers across the country. All of the dealers are telling me I shouldn't expect the car until around February.

I just found a local dealer that has a Black Raven 5bw on order and the original buyer backed out. The car has a TPW in early November. It is exactly the same as the car I have on order except for the exterior color and it doesn't have the carbon 2 package; only carbon one.

Should I wait for the Electric blue one that may or may not be here in February or do I put my name down for the Black Raven one and possibly have it here before year end? No ADM on any of the cars. Help me decide!

Is it too late for the dealer to change the color on the Black Raven car?

I think this is an easy call. A lot of people will put in orders and not get a car. Who knows what's going to happen 5 months from now with the current state of the world. Black raven looks great, grab it while you can, especially with no ADM.

Yes, apparently once the order is accepted it cannot be modified.

As they say... "one bird in hand is better than two in the bush". If you really want the car and won't be second guessing your decision later, get it. You can always get it wrapped to change color.

On the other hand, if you plan on keeping for years to come, get the one that you really want.

I agree with the "buy it" vote, but would just also add that if you're going to get a black car, I would factor in the cost for ceramic coating if you haven't already planned on it.

I also vote for buy the black one. As previously said, who knows what future production is going to look like in the current conditions...and changing color is relatively easy (but not cheap) these days. If one of your orders shows up and you still like the blue car better, I can't imagine you'd have a hard time unloading the black car to make way for it.

Agreed with everyone. If you can live with black get it as you have a confirmed order going through. If you don’t want it, pass me the info please!!!! I’m looking at next year as well!

Buy the black one, it sounds like it may be a better chance to get one. Agree with all of the comments. You can always wrap if you want a different color.

I took everyone's advice and I just put a deposit on the Black Raven one! Hopefully I will have it before the year ends. I am getting confirmation but I believe they also have a summit white one with a production date and no buyer. If it is available I will make a new thread with the details.

I’m biased as i built mine in black. Seeing all of the delivery pics they all look great, but not as good as black. Haha.

Black looks AMAZING.. as long as you are willing to put extra effort to keep it clean. After too black cars, I'm done with that color.

It looks awesome in black but I'm considering wrapping it.

When I had my ZL1 I always wanted to wrap it this color and never got around to it. I think this car would look awesome in Satin Grey.
