… Hell yes it has a great suspension!
I recently took a few long road trips. First from Golden CO to Phoenix in a Ford Expedition: rattle, bounce, bounce ow. Second from Los Angeles to Phoenix in a Chevy Tahoe … this was better, but still kinda harsh.
Then I took a roadtrip in my 2025 CT5-V Blackwing round trip from Phoenix to Nevada. First drove to Las Vegas, then from there to Tonopah NV via the Extraterrestrial Highway, then back to Las Vegas via the southern route. Then finally back to Phoenix. What a difference. Smooth at all speeds (and on the Extraterrestrial Highway, you may need to develop some high speed to get away from those aliens!). After a while, turn on the massaging seat for some back relief. Very composed at 100 mph, felt like a normal cruising speed. 120 mph seemed a little too fast to escape the aliens as a cruising speed, but is fine for emergencies.
Driving around town I would often think, “Why am I feeling any bumps? With the magnetoresistive shocks, it should be like driving on a cloud!” Of course that is asking the car to violate the laws of physics. On a long roadtrip, the differences really start to shine.
Plus the Blackwing has certain advantages. Stuck behind two cars that are too timid to pass a truck slowly towing a boat? Passing zone … downshift … bang zoom … see ya!
