CT5 BW fuel system

That's what you get when you add the 2650 to a stock LT4?
No, the stock upper pulley is 90mm with the 2650, combined with stock lower is about 11psi if I recall. I have a 9.45" lower which adds more boost but had to install a 100mm upper to reduce it some. Ended up at 16psi, 722whp.

Yea when you read the warranty booklet it specifies that you have to have an ASE certified mechanic install it and do under a certain mileage. There is also a limitation on how much in total the warranty will cover in dollar terms. I don’t remember how I found it but I distinctly remember those details

I asked Magnuson about the warranty, and this was their `response...

The Extended Limited Powertrain Warranty does not activate automatically. Your completed extended warranty application form and payment of $750 must be received by Magnuson within THIRTY (30) days of the purchase date and prior to any claim damage.

Here are the basic eligibility requirements:

ELIGIBILITY

In order for a vehicle to be eligible for the Magnuson Products, LLC standard or extended limited powertrain warranty:

• The vehicle must have less than 36,000 miles on the odometer and the Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System must be installed within 3 years of the original in-service (purchase) date as determined by the manufacturer of the vehicle e.g., OASIS, GMVIS, Dealer Connect.
• The vehicle must be equipped with a Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System (sold as a complete kit with installation components and Magnuson-supplied calibration). Please visit the Magnuson Products LLC webpage for a complete list of eligible Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger Systems by part number/application.
• The vehicle on which the system is installed must be the original vehicle on which the supercharger was first installed and legally registered by the original owner registering this Limited Powertrain Warranty, Terms & Activation document.
• The Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System must be installed properly according to Magnuson’s installation manual and must be conducted by a certified new car dealership, a certified Magnuson Products, LLC installer, or by an automotive service technician certified by the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as an automotive repair facility with a valid business license.
• If applying for the Extended Limited Powertrain Warranty, the completed extended warranty application (obtained by requesting the application form by email to warranty@magnusonsuperchargers.com), together with the warranty fee, must have been received by Magnuson Products, LLC within the specified time.

You can also see the entire form here. The warranty eligibility and limits are described in the form.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you

yes. that's all in the warranty pdf. It is also probably important for people to know the limitations:

COVERAGE LIMITS
This warranty is secondary to all other warranties and any manufacturers’ recall that may be in effect. You will be required to submit evidence of manufacturer coverage denial before submitting a claim for coverage under this warranty.
Standard Limited Powertrain Warranty Maximum Coverage. Magnuson Products, LLC’s maximum liability per covered vehicle over the term of this warranty is limited to $6,500, which represents the total of the individual components group’s liability as follows: engine components are covered to a maximum of $5000, transmission components are covered to a maximum of $1000, and rear axle components are covered to a maximum of $500.
Extended Limited Powertrain Warranty Maximum Coverage. This coverage is effective only upon completion of the extended warranty application form and upon payment of the required fee and does not apply to any preexisting damage. If you have elected this coverage and have completed the required extended warranty application form and paid the required fee within the specified time, Magnuson Products, LLC’s maximum liability per covered vehicle over the term of this warranty is increased by an additional $10,000 to a maximum of $16,500 which represents the total of the individual components group’s liability as follows: engine components are covered to a maximum of $12,500, transmission components are covered to a maximum of $2,500, and rear axle components are covered to a maximum of $1,500.

I just can't see anyone going through all this for warrany coverage. They made is so difficult that they know almost no one will qualify.

I mean it's have a mechanic put it on and pay $750. It doesn't seem that hard. The 3 yr/36k is 3yr/36k on the car in total, so if you put the blower on at 2 years and there is 20k already on the car then the warranty at that point would really only be 1 year and 16k left.

Actually it says have a new car dealer install it and then pay 750. Ive never known of anyone that has done that. Not to mention the car won't run optimally with the stock tune so you're going to have to throw the warranty away anyway if you want to get your money's worth out of the 2650.

That was just one of three choices for installation. The other two were a certified Magnuson installer or, any ASE certified mechanic at a licensed business.

Fair enough, either way $8-10K is a huge waste of money to only get half the results you should get without tune.

I don’t think you’ll get another 90hp with the same pulley and just adding a tune.

You're going to see about 50-60whp without a tune and about 80-90whp or more with a tune. That's substantial. And with a tune, you open up the possibility to change pullies giving even more power.
