OK that is really helpful. Man I go back and forth with what to do. Catback is obviously the easiest and then I don't have to worry about the warranty. If it made a significant difference vs stock for you I may just go that route and leave the headers until I want to start making real power mods.

Do you have any soundclips that you can share? I have been debating aftermarket CB with factory headers vs Kooks headers and factory exhaust. Looking for the best sound gains. Did you get a CEL with the green cats? Worth the upgrade or would you have done something different looking back?

Not sure I understand regarding the CB exhaust. Many factory exhausts are made really well and sound great. Just to clarify... He removed the factory cats and picked up 8whp. Is that correct? If so that is more in-line with the gains I would expect. Picking up 30whp going from factory to green cats sounds like a lot.

Is it 30whp with the green cats or is that just the competition pipes?

I also live in NY. If there is no CEL you will be fine. Does anyone know if the green cats require you to run a tune in order to avoid the CEL? If so I guess that would completely void the warranty.
