    Carbon fiber PN database.

got it. I'm trying to find differences in the carbon skirts, diffuser and splitter but they look really similar.

CT4V -BW Track "Capable" versus Track "Optimized"

There's nothing "optimal" about a near 4000lb track car. Just focus on seat time and your driving. Focus your money and efforts on optimizing the driver, not the car. Then move on to a (low powered) dedicated track car.

    Carbon fiber PN database.

I'm a bit confused. Are the OEM carbon parts the same as the non-carbon option equipped cars, just in carbon, or are they different geometry?

Looking for brake pad recommendations for track driving

I wouldn't run them on the street though. Lots of dust and unnecessary rotor wear.

    CT5 Aftermarket Wheel Thread

I am looking for aftermarket wheels as I hate the OEM ones. Looking for something more aggressive, but not tuner looking. Just so the car doesn't look so "old man/grandpa" given it's definitely the understated car amongst its competitors. Also, feel free to post suggestions. BTW: How wide can...

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

Good to know. I bought race pads and I have a lift at ecr so I might as well throw them in. Pretty impressive though.

CT5-V Retrofitting carbon ceramic brakes to 5BW?

At least 1400. I'd be willing to bet KNS would recommend Hawk DCT 70 or Carbotech XP12 (or higher). Maybe 20.

CT5-V Retrofitting carbon ceramic brakes to 5BW?

1200F is not hot enough for track use. Especially not on a 700hp, 4500 vehicle.

Unofficial Performance Supplement for Blackwing 4 & 5

brakes are funny like that. They can FEEL one way but perform another. A big source of "butt dyno" inaccuracy comes from initial bite. On a dyno ,it would be a spike and then it comes back down. It feels like, oh man, I have strong brakes, but you dont want that. You want a smooth and...

Why does my HUD position reset every time I start the car!?

CT5-V Retrofitting carbon ceramic brakes to 5BW?

Hard to compare. One is on 2500lb BRZ on 245s, the other is on a freaking viper on 305/355s. And they were driven on different days. You really dont want bit initial bite. You want smooth modulation.

CT5-V 2023 Blackwing tow truck driver forgot parking brake = 😢

Yeah, it’s just not worth it. I have race cars that are for racing and my street car is for getting me around. With that said, I give myself a year before I crank this car up to 1000hp

    CT5-V ZL1 1LE transmission in 5BW? Or, how the 5BW is a 7-speed missing 6th gear.

Am I the only one who wishes 6th was taller, if anything? It's fine the way it it is, but I miss the hyper-tall 7th in my C7. I get into 6th around 55-60mph and don't really feel a need to drop it into 5th unless I really want to pass fast. I love those quite, low rpm, low engine brake, high...

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

Why? Because it's cool. And if anything, the high pitched supercharger whine goes closer to "luxury car sounds" than V8 muscle car rumble.

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

Ironically enough, my Viper has great stability control. They went 4 generations raw dogging it and then were like went all out with it. Someone said something like half of the gen 5 R&D budget on electronics.

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

Sure, I get that, but it’s not the only car I’ve driven. Heck I have the viper that has 1300lb rear springs and solid bushings. It’s got more tire but it’s got a lot less weight and a mechanical, not electronic, diff.

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

I drove the car a bit last night. I feel like I’m driving a car with a solid locker in the rear around turns. Almost any throttle and it wants to step out. Is that normal?

New CT5-V Blackwing Owner - First thoughts and impressions

Hard to gauge a car I haven't driven on track through a video of a track I've only driven on a sim, but I think I'm a lot more aggressive, especially on brakes. Also, VIR gives a lot of cool down time between hard stops. My home track has a lot of hard braking zones closer together. (this is...
