What did you do to your Blackwing today?

The ccbs aren't even that much better in my opinion. I had a C6Z with The carbon ceramic brakes and I feel like that car didn't stop any better than my ZL1 1LE on the same tracks. The carbon ceramic rotors only lasted me about a year and a half and roughly about 15 track days for they got to the...

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Can you post photos of your car with those weeks?. I found a post you placed on the "What did you do to your BW" thread but the pictures are very low res.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Did you go with the 9.5" or 10" rears? They look great. I'm torn between the Anthracite and Bronze Wheels for my black CT4BW. I'm curious if the 10" wheels are more "concave" than the 9.5 or if it's just the same concavity, just a tad wider.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

I saw your car in another thread, I have been eyeing the bronze wheels for my car. Mine is black and tried to do some Photoshop magic to get an idea. This is the best I could do. Deciding between the bronze or silver.

    1/4 Mile Times

I got a 12.0 flat with my CT4 Blackwing manual on a public unprepped road. Only mod is a JB4.

    CT4-V Dirty valves !!

Curious what Tapout has to say. I've seen tons of High Mile ATSVs out there. Not all of them can possibly have catch cans.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

I agree with you there. The TPC tires have been great for me. They are an amazing dual purpose tire. They behave amazing on track and are comfortable on the road. I still have 6/32" tread after 2 track days (twelve 20m sessions) with 6000miles on the odometer. I ask because the Motorsport Gold...

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Hey Andy, I saw that the recommended rear size was 10". Can you provide photos of your rear tire fitment? The 275 rear tire isn't too stretched to fit the extra 0.5" is it? Curious how th OEM tires fit or if I would need to upsize to a 285. Curious because the motorsport gold color is only...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Very curious about your results as I also live in California with crummy 91 octane. Thinking about doing a Cam and eventually Group B unlock for a Blended E tune. Are you able to get any 60-130 times on your Gas tune for reference?

    CT4-V Blackwing...kind of slow

I've only done east with the the Blackwing. It handles well for it's size so it should do ok on west. West is a lot like Buttonwillow where you have to rely a lot on momentum. Either way, no matter how good you are in the caddy, you'll always have someone in a S2000 or Miata pass you up on those...

    CT4-V Blackwing...kind of slow

I'm in the same boat. I have tracked my Blackwing three times already, once at Buttonwillow and twice at Thunderhill here in Cali. All three times I had my JB4 essentially turned off. I feel like the stock power is more than enough for track and didn't want to run into timing/heat issues with...

    CT4-V Blackwing...kind of slow

Depending on gas quality you can get close. Eventually when my warranty is up I'll move over to a full ECU Tune. For right now the JB4 suits my needs because I can remove the module before any dealer check in.

    CT4-V Blackwing...kind of slow

I had a 2018 ZL1 1LE and I totally forgot about the bogging it would do. Got rid of it after a year of tracking it and unable to tolerate the stiff suspension on the street. Not to mention that those Goodyear Supercar 3R tires are hard as a rock when they have no heat in them. I managed to get...

    CT4-V Blackwing...kind of slow

I did a 12s quarter mile on my CT4 BW 6sp Manual last night on a crappy old back road. Just spend the $600 for a JB4 or go crazy on a Full Unlocked Tune to get it to your liking. For me bringing it up to ~490-500 whp (stock M3 levels) is the sweet spot for this car.

    CT4 V blackwing vs RS3

I sold my 2018 RS3 for my Blackwing. Mine had an intake, intercooler, mounts, ECU and DSG tune and it was FAST. Especially when running E85. They're definitely way more tuneable and respond to mods better than the Blackwing. The downside when making more than 500whp, the pedal becomes very...

CT5-V Minimum Thickness of Steel Brake Rotors?

The rotors look fine. Just have them turned at any Orileys. Your issue is that you overheated the pads and basically smeared pad material into the rotors. I had this happen to my RS3 and Fiesta ST that I used to track. I'd suggest getting a different pad for the track, Hawk DTC60s work...

    Removing grille emblem - 4BW

Sorry for the late response. See my attached picture from a photo I found of a CT4 BW grill I found on eBay. It requires some dexterity, but I was able to poke my fingers through the grill and bend the tabs on the emblem to pry it off. I did not have to undo the grille at all.
