Hell I did 160 in a 4th gen Corvette in a public road and lived to tell about it. Of course that was during the Pony Express a whole bunch of years ago, but who's counting? ;-)
This is exactly the case. On newer GM cars with the Google crap integrated, it's all handled via OnStar. But on the cars with an OEM nav and SD card for the maps, it's on the card.
I got my replacement last week, thanks @Terrance Sig. I'll use the box to return my original if you have a shipping label for me.
ETA on the wheel arch pieces? :)
Thanks for the useless snark that missed its target. GM's owners manual say to do it. In every manual transmission equipped car they've made for ... ever? They say to park it in reverse (or first) as well as using the parking brake. Sure there's a certain amount of CYA there on GM's part...
No one should take this as a personal attack; I knew a few people that do this, too, and it just blows my mind: one should never, ever park a manual in neutral. Always keep it in gear, and with GM manuals, preferably in reverse. Having that extra amount of engine compression to help prevent...
I was going to say those mats look fantastic and I'd love to get a set myself, but then I saw the red center rear seat belt and knew instantly that it was a fake. Those don't exist, didn't you know that? Why post something misleading like that, Sean?
;-)
It's almost like it was intended as a gift from GM: avoid the GG tax and defeat it fairly easily.
Nah, they wouldn't want to help their customers are all, would they?
(Hint: that's exactly what it was for).
Thanks. The more I struggle to find something adequate, the less interested I am in driving the car during the colder temps. I'll probably just park it until it warms up enough; I do have a big pickup to drive as well.
They'd list them if they (still) carried them, even if they were out of stock. I'm guessing they don't carry them any longer. Likely discontinued; Pirelli's been cleaning house on a lot of the older Sottos and discontinuing them, it seems.
Breaker bar to break. Impact (slow) to loosen/remove and then again to gently tighten. Torque wrench to do the final tighten. Don't use the impact to start or finish the job.
It's worth a worry if I'd dragged it along the asphalt or dropped it out of its box. I did neither. I merely set it down to snap the pic while standing over it.
Oh, and it's got a handy coating of PPF on it, too. ;-)
That looks great on your car. I'm tempted to put mine on, too, but I think I'd rather wait till the wickers come in so I'm under the car once vs twice.
And I see you're a fellow Virginian, too.
Look what I just got from @Terrance Sig :-) The sun is low in the sky so the lighting kinda sucks. But it's here and it's gorgeous. I'm not going to try and install it until the 3D printed fender wickers are here. So it'll sit in my garage waiting. Looking forward to seeing it on the car...
