All modern exhausts have condensation drain ports in them. Those along with changes in material choice and coatings is why modern exhaust rarely rusts from the inside out. Turbo cars seem more prone to extra soot in the exhaust.
Assuming its the same or similar to previous V's with BDT (V2 had this paint, not sure if others did), its a remarkable color and rarely presents as true black paint. In morning and evening summer light, it literally looks like the car is coated in diamonds. I like black with some subtle...
No modern manual I've ever owned has smoothly shifted into gear without any of the gears turning (engine running or drive wheels turning). If you have even a cursory understanding of manual transmission gear engagement, this is entirely expected/normal behavior.
Popping out of 1st gear as soon...
If you're not familiar with Black Diamond in the sunlight, then you're in for serious sparkle shock. Nothing this side of a 90's bass boat comes close.
On the internet, everyone is a powertrain engineer! And if we're going to go down the cynical road and claim that Dex3 is a function of convenience and cost, I'll join you and suggest Tremec re-branded an existing cheap fluid to create a profit center peddling Tremec branded product...
I'm dubious on the whole "internet guy recommends this magic sauce" thing. OEM's spend millions validating fluids and just because Larry and his buddies all run some fluid cocktail without issue is not evidence of anything.
It would require a lot of you though: Outfit choice, which side of the back window to put the tissue box vs the hat, and then perfecting the mouth agape, had down 10 degrees, with both hands on the wheel look and making it seem authentic.
I agree. Just 12-18 months ago people were still in a "free" money fueled YOLO mode, but feels like consumers are starting to face the financial realities of living like there is no tomorrow. Interest rate reductions are starting to look a bit wobbly this year too. It's always been a niche...
I agree that @solo40oz may have something else going on (like faulty ANC or other mechanical issue), but to argue the the BW series has zero or very low road noise on ALL surfaces is odd to me. Maybe its the anatomy of your/my ears, subjective level of "loud", road surfaces one regularly...
My only must have is the M6 transmission, so you're doing great there. I ended up ordering steel brakes, but sort of regret making that decision. As @Finally-a-V said, they would likely never need replacement (no track days), no dust, and they just make the sleeper-ish sedan even more special...
EV's are lease-only in my house. The depreciation is horrible and unpredictable (looking at you Elon) so a lease removes the uncertainty. I have to think an outright purchase of a Hummer EV might possibly be in the top 5 worst automotive financial mistakes one could these days.
Do you have clear plastic over your couch? What about the down the hallway, more plastic? :p Seriously though, stacking floor mats is asking for pedal interference. Just remove the OEM and put some Lloyds or similar in there.
Most folks LOVE the 4, but this is an area you need to be extra honest with yourself for long-term contentment. The $30k-$40k delta between the two can quickly become a sledgehammer in the decision process. Outside of finances and maybe fitment of your family, the path to one or the other...
Carplay and Android Auto are wireless in the BW and it's vastly superior to any OEM infotainment. Google Maps and Waze offer all the traffic data one could want...unless your daily hat is made of .6mil aluminum sheet metal and you don't want the man to know your comings and goings.
