CT4BW's Turning Off - Safety Risk

I have my car back, GM and the shop service techs seem convinced there was a can bus communication interruption cased by an unidentified OBD2 port accessory that was connected to the car at the time. Its possible, so for now all accessory's that may or may not have been attached will remain off...

CT4BW's Turning Off - Safety Risk

Well Darn, add me to the list. Driving home Wednesday evening I lost electronic braking and the car went into 25mph limp mode. CEL hard on with U0121, U2418, U2419 codes. After pulling over and letting the car come to a full sleep, restarting still in limp mode but the brakes were back, I...

Scenic drive home from Mt Wil...er, Mexico

Two things, the PDR camera has some zoom to it, they were not as close as they appeared, I don't tailgate. When following the bikes, I was just cruising and enjoying the drive, not trying to apply any pressure at all. Secondly, I will never pass on a double yellow just to pass someone.

Scenic drive home from Mt Wil...er, Mexico

First half is scenic, second is also scenic but quicker. The grey BMW tried to keep up for about 2 corners then dropped off fast. Just cruising home from wor... er, a trip out of town. Crappy video editor lost sync with sound on the second half. Edit, video is unlisted, so may have to click...

    SoCal Blackwing Meetup

Im thinking we need a BW meetup in Acton, drive up Angeles Forest Highway (keeping things sane but fun) up to RedBox and back for lunch. The cars are fun to look at, but more fun to drive.

Watch the TPC code for replacement tires

I replaced mine with non TPC spec, just regular aftermarket PS4S's. I cant say if it was due to the OEM tires being warn our not, but the new tires are super quiet, much quieter than I recall the OEM tires being even when new, also turn in is way faster. Could just be because they are new vs...

CT4-V Tools and Parts for DIY oil change

On the 4BW, the mess is not with the drain plug, its with the oil filter which will drain on the aluminum brace. I cut the top out of a 1 litter soda bottle and made a small funnel to fit under the filter to drain the oil into the pan. Ive used the Fumoto valves before, with my Cummins RAM it...

    A10 crew

My coummute to/from work includes a 25 mile, 2 lane mountain canyon road, cresting 4k' ele down to 1200. Yes, I run it in manual every day, not to ring its neck, but just overall better control of cars speed, and yes I try to time the up shift as I'm passing "sport" cars.

Am I the only one burning quarts of oil?

25K on my 4BW now. Ill see about 1/2 qt used in 5K miles. If your using 3qt between oil changes that's definitely excessive.
