I understand. If there was a Chevy badge on this vehicle the reviewers and general public would never stop on the negativity. Since there isn't that GM badge you will hear nothing of the sort...this trend has been going on for decades is all I am saying.
Decent comparison! Guy, I worked with had V-2 and sold it for GT-R and commented that his V-2 was great and 20yrs of building the V's he can't imagine how perfected the BW would be.
If GM made that car you would never hear the end of it? Since some foreign entity did it will be praised as the next best thing since Tesla? These things are total junk folks.....and yes I will have one of these too at some point just like everybody else! KEEP THE BW my friend!
Guys/Gals what years and ending vin#'s are you so we can maybe get an idea at the time frames etc? It's looking like a improper cleaning step and what remains in block/galleys/ passages etc. depending on how much crap is not removed it eventually starves off the bearing oil feed. Not good...
GM knows pretty much down to the Knats Arse how many have failed and it' probably a couple tenths of a percent on total volume? Remember that includes engines that are beat on WOT all the way out to their warranty coverage before maybe giving way. So these things can handle serious abuse folks...
I know guy who just imported one over as it hit the yearly threshold and it's pretty cool! He got rear ended and that's not going to be cool to fix relating to parts and paint?
I would bet that driven in same manner and same mileage that it will be 1/2 or less of that amount next change at least it should be. Glad to see you monitor it and nothing seems out of normalcy as of now.
Sorry my man! GM will do you right! Your honestly like very. very lucky because unmodified LT4's other than the coveted "Car and Driver" engines don't fail...exceedingly small numbers.
