I am not actively following values and prices on 4. But we have a member with an Atlanta edition posted for sale that has to be the best deal on a Blackwing since the car came out. If you want an auto, buy his!
GM definitely has issues these days. I still believe the LT4 is a very reliable motor, and am not yet convinced all of the issues people post about are wholly GM's fault. Yours, of course. And as you say, the problems are always broadcast online. It is just impossible to judge fairly without...
I feel for the OP. But I also wonder how many of the "online reports" are really true. And even if they are, what is the history? Maybe the car was redlined multiple times on test drives, long before the break-in period? Or other protocols not followed? Did C&D really do all of the break-in...
Thank you for posting this Sir. I have the top level semi-aniline seats on my current 5, and I had the mid grade seats when I owned the 4. I am set on keeping the top seats. I guess my must haves are manual, BDT, semi-aniline seats, and PDR. After that I am flexible.
There are some others...
I know you are getting Black Diamond Tricoat. Congrats on that! I tried, unsuccessfully, to order a BDT to replace my Rift. It is worth it to me. Alas, not gonna happen.
I will happily admire yours every time you post it!
I disliked the new front immediately. And the back... it goes fine on the 22-24 models, but why leave that unchanged and add this new, edgy, mean front end? Total mismatch design wise.
I only own manual, and as posted, am not sure about auto. I thought I read the autos will not let the RPM rise above 4500 or whatever it is for the first 500 miles.
But as I said, on the manual, it is up to the driver.
Does anyone honestly think that car with 155 miles has never been pushed at WOT or redlined? I think the autos might keep the car from exceeding the break-in rev limiter, but the manuals do not.
No thanks. I don't like the front on the 25 at all. Although BDT or Black Raven would at least help hide the ridiculous plastic trim pieces that slice through the painted areas.
Well, the allocation needs to align with Cadillac accepting an order for BDT. So in my case, 2 times I could have ordered a 2024 in most any configuration I wanted, so long as it was not BDT.
That is the lone detail I have oscillated on. Between bronze and black. I have the bronze on my Rift and love them, the design itself is very much my cup of tea.
Honestly though, I have been all over ordering a BDT since last year, but don't think it will happen. Not that a 22 Rift is a bad...
Last week, I was offered an allocation for a CF2 car (includes CF1 of course) and carbon seatbacks. I am trying to get a 2024 Black Diamond Tricoat, but the color has not been available to order. 2nd time in the past 6 weeks I was offered the spot, but I am still passing. BDT or bust for me...
That car has $22,400 for the "anniversary edition", ceramic brakes, and enclosed shipment. But no PDR. I think most buyers just want the 6MT and low miles, and don't care to pay for most anything else. Can't say I blame them.
John Elway and Rickenbaugh. I looked at a CT5-V Black Diamond Tricoat at Rickenbaugh around a month ago. Special order and could not get financing. It was on the floor at MSRP.
If you are looking for a 4, do yourself a favor and shop around. Don't pay MSRP on a 4.
