    Spring Mountain Impressions

I just finished Spring Mountain, and it was my first track experience. I highly encourage anyone with a certificate to GO. (No matter how much of a schedule hassle it seems.) As a little detail for @Roadhawk, you will essentially get 55 laps around the track. It's 5 sessions of 11 laps...

CHICAGO AREA: CT5VBW-My Graphite Wheels for Your Silver Polished (or Bronze)?

I'm thinking I'd prefer the silver polished or Tech Bonze wheels to the Satin Graphite wheels I have on my CT5BW. My car is a 2024, 2300 miles total with NO track time and no curb rash. I'm thinking a relatively local fellow owner would be best--I'm in the west suburbs of Chicago. Please...

    Spring Mountain- Track insurance?

My insurance update. I bought the coverage for $250. And it is correct that you need to make the decision in advance. Thank you for the talk-through.

    Spring Mountain- Track insurance?

Thank you for this discussion; I'm heading to SM for the February 21 / 22 session. I'm 70% going to buy the insurance. That will go to 100% if there is any chance of rain / drizzle. I'll make a decision at arrival.

Loaded 4BWs don't make sense to me

My interpretation of @RKS post...is that: 1. If a car were a 'on lot / NOT pre-sold' car, it is head scratching the LOAD-IT-UP mentality when the dealers placed the orders. I agree they would have been much better to LIGHTLY mix / match some options and they would be able to SELL them off the...

We Received our first 2024 CT5-V Blackwing 20th Anniversary Edition |

Thank you, BW KING for a post that demystifies what GM decided to offer on 20 or 21 cars. Hell of a program, and I guess, understandable why it is so quiet if GM has ZERO plans to expand this into a Paint-to-Sample and/or Custom Wishes program for the masses. This is the kind of...

    Official Cyber Yellow Thread

I've had a grind of a work schedule for the last 5 weeks, and I loaned the CT5BW to a friend of 40+ years. He did some paint correction and ceramic work; the car is ABSOLUTELY better than the day it was delivered. Wow; instant confirmation of how much I love this color.

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

Thank you, @Mutz. Confirming I DO have my order coded with the FA9 carbon seat back delete. In the next 3 weeks I'll reach back out to my local dealer for status.

    CT5-V 5BW v. 4BW

Other than three test drives on the 4BW MT, I don't have experience with it...but was initially drawn to it for the size. Now, as 30-day owner of a 5BW MT I'm wrestling with the size and for almost all daily stuff, I am grabbing the keys for my Cayman GTS and not the 5BW. Make no mistake...

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

What about if you do a 'carbon fiber seatback delete', then are the sport buckets still on constraint?

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

I have no insight on what is still really on constraint. My 2024 6MT was made in September; so, I'm of the thought that 6MT constraints are short duration, on/off events. I'm definitely still in the 'dating phase' with the car, no particular priority in my observations but so far: I love the...

    Blackwing Constraints Tracker

Short FYI, today I visited my dealer who placed my 5BW order in early September, and I DELETED the Parking Package from my order. We shall see if my order gets picked up now, as I believe it's ONLY the 6MT as the last true 'constraint snag' with my build.

Parking Package features explanation when equipped with the 6spd Manual Ct5v Blackwing

Well I feel safe in confirming the parking package also has the rear view mirror camera. I've found I don't care for it, but believe my dislike is because of my failing near distance vision--when I turn on the camera mirror, I want to reach for my readers...and that's another compelling reason...

Parking Package features explanation when equipped with the 6spd Manual Ct5v Blackwing

First, thank you @division for the clear answer on the Parking Package. With that understanding, I'm thinking to change my standing order (CT5VBW MT) and DUMP the parking package. Before I submit that change to my order, is there anything I lose in terms of PDR functionality with the dump of...

    Collision Avoidance

I have a 2024; it's not even 5 minutes to get them all off. You have to have the car running but NOT moving to get them disabled. Once you are done, remember to press your 'Memory Settings' for your driver position on the door--as I think that helps hard-code them with the key that is in use...

    Collision Avoidance

Fine reminder. I've got to get front collision warning TOTALLY DISABLED on my next restart. Not a well calibrated system, IMO.

What "don't" you like about your BW"?

I'm about 1100 miles in on my 5BW, MT. I've got 3 items: Headlights (I'm 52). For me, I can specify it's a borderline (serious) safety issue in rain and with on-coming traffic--even worse when it's new asphalt (black) pavement; simply we are WAY OUTGUNNED in candelas--and so it's like we our...
