The surface texture on the Gen2 Brembo rotor is different than past CCBs. I wouldn't call mine shiny, but certainly look different from the Prosche PCCB or the C7Z CCB.
Did you verify your detailer knows the do's and don'ts of CCB cleaning?

Just make sure you get 14x1.5 with a 60 degree conical seat. A narrower seat (sometimes called 'acorn' style) can actually cut into the wheel and/or damage the finish.
In any manual capable of handling this much torque, some effort/notchiness is normal. On cold days this will be more pronounced than warm ones. Give yourself time to adjust to the feel and the noises.
