I recently had some time and decided to satisfy my curiosity by test driving a few EV's. I tried the Cadillac Lyriq, Tesla Model Y, Mustang Mach-E and Ioniq5. The Cadillac was the best, but also the most expensive so it well should be. The Tesla drove really well but the controls were stupid...
I have Michelin PS AS4's which I run year-round. 255 in front and 285 in back (275s were out of stock). Great setup and gives up very little to the summer tires in regular driving.
This is a good summary. I have PSAS4's on mine as well, but in 255/285 (275's weren't available at the time). They're marginally quieter and softer, but with a smidge less steering feel than the stock PS4's. Where the big difference is that they feel far less skittish when cold than the PS4's...
I got a little jar of touch up paint from "Scratches Happen." I had also previously used them for touch up paint on my Genesis G70.

Touched up a couple of chips. Perfect match, no...
Ah, thank you! It's a weird set of sizes so I wasn't sure how much of an audience the tires would have outside 4BW people, but I might as well give it a shot. They'll just be sitting in my garage for as long as it takes regardless.
Hi all, I replaced the tires on my 4BW with Michelin PSAS4's last fall (great tires, btw). I optimistically kept the OEM PS4S's in the hope that I could start getting to the track and maybe eventually use them as track tires. Unfortunately, I have another baby coming soon and realistically I...
I was wondering this as well. It's a common refrain that matte paint is hard to maintain, but the biggest issue I have is swirls and love marks, which apparently matte paint doesn't show. It seems like that would be easier to maintain, although in the case of actual deeper scratches it seems you...
That's interesting. I would think the black tape would work better on the gloss black than the carbon fiber, since it would match better. I'll put my theory to the test at some point in the next few days.
I actually had the exact same experience. I though they were absolutely wrecked but what I'm actually looking at is the wrecked ppf. I think it would look a lot better if I pulled it off, but I'm going to try and maybe cut it back a bit and try Seth's tape fix
Awesome and informative post, thank you.
OP, I scuffed up mine as well and agonized over it. I decided to just leave them alone because I figured it would inevitably happen again, and lo and behold it has, several times.
If I were to do something about it, I would probably take them off, sand...
Wow, they're killing Electric Blue (i.e. the best color)???
Though at least now it looks like they're offering a real bright red. I wonder if I had chosen that if it was an option at the time.
