Thankfully it's not a primary offense in WA state so I don't have one (and when I got a ticket a couple of years ago the cop didn't mention it). I used to have a Rho mount on the V3 and it was great until you washed the car and would have to recenter it (5-second job)
It'll stay flat unless and until GM announces a next gen 5 BW. I bought mine for fun so I won't mind a V5 CTS-V (i.e., V2 BW) but anybody who bought the BW as a collector won't be happy.
Got it. I couldn't find a part diagram that separates the filter so I'm guessing it's going to be a whole assembly unless you luck out and find a number stamped on the filter.
Have you been able to remove it and look for a separate part #? Looks like the whole assembly is about $135 online but I imagine the filter alone would be big savings if possible to identify.
If this isn't the right place let me know as I've never posted anything for sale here over the years.
A buddy of mine took delivery of his new '26 5BW here in suburban Seattle (Eastside) and he prefers the OEM PS4 tires over the Cup 2 Rs that came on the car. Here's a description from him...
I went with Xpel Stealth(?) and full ceramic 4 years ago for my 5BW and it held up pretty well so far (needs maintenance at some point).
BTW, I think you mean mils and mm for PPF thickness, else you're putting a real armor coat on your car 😊
Mine came with some sort of dealer protection package that included color match vinyl edge strips. They're thin and barely noticeable. I think I had a clear aftermarket version I applied on my prior V3.
The brake burnishing process for both setups is hard to do legally on the street. After struggling with it (found myself out at 1A on a local highway paranoid a cop was going to think I was drunk), I found the 'power lunch hour' HPDE event was perfect - just hit the track like normal and the...
I'd be happy with an upgraded LT4 AND a concerted effort to get the weight down to just under 4,000 lbs. It would awesome to have a standard weight starting with a 3 when too many are close to or over 5,000!
If you can leave your car outside overnight, you will catch up on OTA updates (it's been awhile but if my memory serves, anytime outside for more than 90 mins will do).
I found that if I forced myself to use it for a couple of days I adjusted quite well (started with the V3 CTS-V so I have over 100k miles with it now and I'll be er go back - no blind spots, ability to zoom, etc..)
I have a '22 so no built in, just phone projection. Like I said, phone projection on our older BMW integrates turn instructions in the HUD but not on the BW. A minor nit.
