    Aftermarket Air Filters

Has anyone tried aftermarket air filters, in particular dry filters (hate dealing with the mess of cleaning and reoiling wet filters) on Blackwings? Any demonstrated results other than engine noise? Thanks, Don

    Squeaks

My 4BW is one of the special editions, an IMSA Road Atlanta car. The car has carbon fiber backs on the front seats. They look nice but they produce an irrirating squeak when you're driving. Anyone have a solution other than removing them? Thanks, Don

    Trunk Issue

Would someone tell me how to remove the large, hard plastic part that the trunk latches into? Thanks, Don

    Instrument Panel

Is there any way to increase the brightness of the controls which are a horizontal line at the bottom of the instrument panel stack? Sitting in the garage w/o a lot of illumination everything is very easy to see but not out on the highway. Thanks, Don

    Squeaking Seat Backs

I have a 2023 Road Atlanta IMSA edition CTV-4 Blackwing with just under 9K miles on it. I love the car, it does everything I expect it to do. Cruising on the interstate it's very quiet with one exception. The car has carbon fiber shells on the backs of the front seats and they squeak at any...

    Embarassing

I have a 23 BW4 as well as a 22 twin turbo Kia GT1. I was very busy with various things and was checking engine oil levels in both cars. I might have put the wrong dipstick in one, then of course, both cars. They're identical visually. I believe the BW's dipstick has a gunmetal grey end to...

    New Car

Just a bit of humor here. Local San Antonio newspaper had an advertisement for new cars on sale at dealers. There was an ad for a 2925 Lexus (no typo)! Don

    Door Handle

One of the door handles on my Blackwing is a bit loose. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think fixing the issue means removing the interior panel of the door. I've never done that and I don't want to cause myself problems. Think I'll let the dealer do it when I take it in for an oil change. I...

    Impressed

I live about 15 miles west of San Antonio. Took the 4BW into SA the other day. Overall the trip is downhill most of the way but by no means steeply downhill. I got 35.8 mpg! First 5 miles are two lane some ups as well as downs. Running on cruise control set at 71 on I10 for 10 miles. Don

    Mileage

I have a 2023 4 BW IMSA Road Atlanta Edition (Don't think that matters to the question at hand). I did have mileage running a constant readout. It disappeared, don't know what I did to cause that. Can't find a specific reference to this issue in the owner's manual. Any suggestions? Thanks, Don

    Oiled Air Filters

Am I correct in the opinion that oiled fabric air filters show very little gain on a chassis dyno and very little in real world driiving? Don

    Funky Trunk

My CTV-4 Blackwing is 14 mo old, just turned 7000 miles. Bought it at 14 miles, very clean. Well prepped. From the beginning, the trunk has had a strange scent, nothing even remotely stinky has been carried in it. I've washed the heavy rubber floor liner with soap, hasn't helped. Anyone else...

    Excellent Mileage

We live about 16 miles from San Antonio. Drove down and into the city for about 3 miles. It's downhill most of the way and the 4BW is totally stock. I got 33.6 mpg according to the instrument panel readout. Would need more than one similar trip and calculated through fillups but regardless...

    CTV4 Blackwing Tire Rotation

I know that there are many posts regarding this issue. Simply putting "Tire rotation" in the search engine got me no where. I've done all my rotations for the past 60yrs and hate to shovel it off to the dealer. Discount Tire is even more expensive than the dealer. My car has the IMSA Road...

    GM Card Rewards

We have two credit cards, one Visa and the second, a GM card by Marcus. While I have done oil change myself for most of the close to 60 yrs, our two cars don't make it easy. Our 2022 Kia Stinger GT1 twin turbo had a bunch of plastic shielding that must be removed and doesn't help my shoulder...

    Dirty Car

While I do have a 4BW, I have a very nice and shiny Kia Stinger GT1. Day before yesterday, I washed the car, car paint felt like glass. Left the garage door open and the howling, freaking TX wind blew grit all over it. Next day I rinsed it off, no improvement. Rinsed it off today, no...

    CT4-V Curb Rash

I'm pleased that I can say that my 7+ month, 4600 mile old 4BW has not been abused via curb rash! Hope I can keep it that way. Don

    Impressed

IMPRESSED I just tried a wheel cleaner name Sonax. 4BW hadn't been driven many miles since being washed. Nasty black looking crud came off on the paper towel. Don

    Pressure Washing

I have a 2023 4BW Road Atlanta IMSA car. I take very good care of my cars. I use the two bucket wash procedure. My question is, if the car were to become really, really filthy and a pressure washer might be necessary, would it strip off the graphics on the hood? Thanks, Don

    Engine Component

I have a 2023 BW4 with the automatic. There is a round, chrome like connector that sits about in line with the red and blue part of the logo on the engine cover. This component rotates clockwise from about 0-90 degrees. There is a snap on rubber cap that has one "pin" in the center. Anyone...
