Now that's good advice :)
Might be a while, but will do.
I think the opportunities to redline much higher gears is pretty limited on public highways. I guess 3rd is OK at 120. Same Google search said 200+ in 5th/6th, but my math shows 5th won't go that high before redline, and the huge gap...
I don't know if it cuts fuel or spark or both, but i nearly hit my head on the steering wheel when it happened.
Like i said, I thought I had hit it before in a much less violent way.
I hung onto 2nd gear a little too long recently, and was punished sharply for it. Obviously you're in a hurry if you're redlining the car, so it was a nasty surprise when it simply shut down in response to my late shift.
It brought back memories of the bad ol' days in my E34 530i. That car...
Both cars look great !!
That is pretty steep. Wish it were available when I had mine replaced after a hailstorm right after I got it.
I'm surprised it only saves 2 pounds.
But the flutter above 120 mph is what I'd want to fix.
Have you tested that ? Surely the carbon is stiffer than the...
I have a thread here about my exhaust mods. I replaced factory mufflers with aftermarket pass-through mufflers. Re-used factory tips. Local shop custom made all the mods for under $750. It sounds much better, but still not enough for me.
Its noticeably louder than stock with the flaps open. But...
Great pics !!
My 3 year old battery has always fired right up, but I figured I'm pushing my luck to continue with no charger. I moved the Harley's tender over and it was just dead. Re-tested on the bike and still no signal. That's the 2nd green Battery Tender brand in a few years, so I browsed...
I've been surprised MANY times by younger people who recognized the car for what it is. It never occurred to me that would be possible, but it very satisfying and might mean we're not the very last generation who "gets it". :)
Hopefully means we'll have ubiquitous gasoline a little longer too :)
Do y'all run those drag radials in the rain ?
A kid in my neighborhood had a bad-ass sounding Camaro. I can't remember if he had slicks or drag radials, but he totalled it in the first rain he drove it through.
The Marquis de Saad must've designed the front end of the CT5 BW. There are a seemingly endless array of fins, ducts, angles, ridges and crevices.
It had an embarrassing number of bugs that had been there an embarrassingly long time, but 30 minutes of scrubbing with soap and water had no...
I'm kinda late here, but sure glad you're OK. That was cool getting to see the video. Terrifying too - not often are we expecting oncoming traffic to just ram you out of nowhere.
So was your replacement cost policy some type of specialty insurance ? I have replacement cost on my house...
