Draggy vs In Car Performance Recorder

Oiled cotton filters are standard on some performance vehicles from the factory. OEMs wouldn't do that if they were concerned about excessive wear. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying across 200k miles, the paper filter vehicle will likely have less wear but most people never keep their vehicles...

    CT4 BW ---> CT5 BW

Well, you can get over a car not being your exact spec, I mean, how often do you get the luxury of buying a low production vehicle in the exact spec you want without ordering it new and typically paying a stupid markup? That being said, my car has red seat belts and I absolutely despise red seat...

Draggy vs In Car Performance Recorder

Shouldn't be an issue unless you live on a dirt road, in the desert, or plan to keep your car for 200k miles. The filtration of oiled cotton are more than sufficient for 98% of the population.

    catalyst inefficiency codes, 100% stock

More than I expected but honestly, catalytic converters or O2 sensors should not go bad that quickly unless there was a bad run of cats during some point in the years these cars were manufactured.

    catalyst inefficiency codes, 100% stock

How many miles are on the car? It's really hard to imagine the cats are bad. I think the O2s sensors are setup too aggressive and causing them to throw codes when they shouldn't. A brand new set of cats and O2 sensors may solve the issue for a short period of time but I suspect it will come back...

    Lowering springs for 2026 Blackwing

Did you get an alignment done too or leave it stock? When I lowered my 2021 ZL1 with EIbachs, I didn't bother with an alignment, the car drove just fine and tear wear was also just fine. I'm debating on whether to do an alignment on the BW.

    Lowering springs for 2026 Blackwing

Will do. Swift seems to be the most popular option on these cars but I don't like the slammed look. The few cars that I've seen on Eibachs look perfect to me. I also ran Eibachs on my 2021 Camaro ZL1 and the stance was perfect and I was very happy with the ride quality too.

    Lowering springs for 2026 Blackwing

If I recall, Eibach and Swift both claim the same amount of drop .7" front and rear but from what I've seen in pics, it always seems like the Swifts are lower than the Eibachs. I'm going with the Eibachs and will have them installed the first week of December.

    catalyst inefficiency codes, 100% stock

My 2024 CT5 BW recently threw P4020 code, but only after I installed a JLT intake. I reset the code, removed the JLT intake and the code didn't come back. Reinstalled the JLT intake and the code came back again within a few days. Removed the intake again and reset the code and it hasn't come...

    CT5-V WTF - melting piston

Hindsight is 20/20 but I guess if I lived in Cali, I would have paid to have my car shipped to one of the top shops in the country. They can arrange pick-up and delivery. Small price to pay for peace of mind when you're spending that much.

    CT5-V WTF - melting piston

Reviews for Omni Motorsports seem to be rather poor.

    CT5-V Mini tubbing

I will just have to disagree with the Plaid statement, having owned one and I've owned a LOT of very quick ICE vehicles too, the Plaid is one amazing piece of tech. The fact that that car runs what it does at a cost of less than 90k brand new and can be picked up used in the 40s and still run a...

    CT5-V WTF - melting piston

Awe man, that sucks. It's hard to find good shops that are reputable these days and stand behind their work. Hopefully they make it right with you.

    Tire Sizes Question

Yea, that trap speed is good for high 10's if all things are ideal. You just need to get those 60 ft's down. 1.6 to 1.7 should be doable. Manual trans is going to be a little tougher to launch though.

PPF and ceramic coating helps tremendously.

    Blower lid sound deadening plate

If you're worried about warranty then an aftermarket lid is as far as you can go and it will make some difference for sure.

    Blower lid sound deadening plate

That's true, you will never get the same blower whine as a Hellcat, its just an entirely different design. That being said, you can get a LOT more whine out of the stock blower when its ported, pullied, and with an aftermarket lid.

    Blower lid sound deadening plate

I did it on my ZL1, made little to no difference. If you want more whine, swap the lid itself with an aftermarket piece.

    Full Custom Exhaust

They were also supposed to be working on developing a catback exhaust for these cars earlier this year and now the year is almost over and nothing to announce. I'm still waiting on AWE to finish theirs.

    Full Custom Exhaust

I don't hate round tips but every aftermarket exhaust I've seen for the CT5 Blackwing so far has the tips sticking out too far which looks stupid. The image of the GT Haus exhaust from behind looks good to me, but I don't know how far the tips stick out.
