    CT5-V Time to mod...

VR is not cheap but they're work is impeccable and surprisingly, there are quite a few things that are needed to go with a build like that most people probably don't factor in. But to answer your question, its roughly $23k, I chose to have the car tuned instead of letting the stock ECM adjust...

    CT5-V Time to mod...

We're going to find out how much of a restriction the stock exhaust manifolds and cats are. I have no doubt that the 2650 is capable of making 100hp, just don't want to have to spin it harder to get there because the stock exhaust is a bit restrictive.

    Low dust brake pads

Carbotech 1521 is the best option and possibly the only option for these cars right now depending on how much brake dust you want to tolerate.

    CT5-V Time to mod...

LT4s run out of fuel on the stock fuel system right around 700whp (800 crank HP). At that point, you have several options to increase fueling, port fuel injection, camshaft, high side high pressure fuel pump. Meth injection can also be used as a band-aid to help with fueling.

    CT5-V Time to mod...

I've made the decision to mod my 2024 CT5-V BW with 8500 miles on it. I'm tentatively scheduled to send it to Vengeance Racing in late Nov. since they stay booked up well over a month out. I already laid down my deposit so I'm committed at this point. I had previously used Vengeance Racing on my...

    CT5-V 5BW new tire time - discussion

Exactly. I damn sure wouldn't replace all 4 tires at 2100 miles. In fact I just had to replace one of my front tires on mine since I noticed a large gash in the sidewall. My car has 8K miles on it, I certainly didn't replace all 4.

    CT5-V CT5 BW Ported 2650 - 1010WHP

I think I'm more impressed that the high flow cats were only costing you 10whp at that power level.

    427 w ported whipple

From what I've seen the Maggie 2650 still makes more power than the Whipple. The Whipple is bigger but the Maggie is more efficient.

3,000 miles, rotors warped, GM won't replace

I'm inclined to agree here. It's hard to imagine warped rotors at such a low mileage UNLESS the rotors were frequently sprayed with water while they were hot. I will say, there are a LOT of people that don't think about this when washing their cars. They come home from a drive and decide to...

3,000 miles, rotors warped, GM won't replace

Might be better for you to go back to BMW then. Sounds like you've had a bad experience. I've owned countless GM vehicles over the last 35 years, and I've never had any major issues with any of them, not really any minor issues either other than the GMC Acadia. There's certainly countless...

    Blown engine

If there was a major issue with blown LT4 engines we would have known about it over the last 10 years. It's been in the Corvette, Camaro and Cadillac but there's no reports to show this is a serious issue other than random failures which every auto manufacturer has. As for the Porsche comment...

3,000 miles, rotors warped, GM won't replace

So buy a BMW and deal with the rest of the issues those cars have.

    Blown engine

Considering this engine has been in production since 2015 and less than 1% failure rate and considering people have modified these engines to 1000hp on a stock block and raced them for a decade now. I'd say its bulletproof. Its unfortunate whatever happened to yours but there's lots of variables...

    Blown engine

Depends on the V8 too. The LT4 is bulletproof and the LT2 and LT6 are also reliable. The LT1 and LT5 were also reliable but currently out of production. It's just the L87 that has issues right now.

    CT5-V 5BW new tire time - discussion

The Nitto 555G2 is pretty average at best, not even close to the Michelin PS4S. The Nitto 555R is an average drag radial, not very impressive honestly. The Nitto 555R2 is a VERY good drag radial for a street driven car, the sidewall is actually stiff enough that the car will handle pretty good...

    CT5-V 5BW new tire time - discussion

The 555R is not that great but the 555R2 is fantastic.

    For anyone using wheel spacers...

What lip are you referring to? Around the hub? If so, it's not necessary. If its hub centric, it should be a snug fit around the hub, if they are lug centric, then they are tight around the lugs but not around the hub. Lug centric is more universal fit but hub centric is typically safer.

    Cadillac F1 entry

If you can't win in F1, then it becomes a massive money pit. Smaller teams have had to get out of F1 because of this. GM has deep pockets but they aren't going to be ok with losing year after year just to keep American drivers. In the end, winning pays the bills and promotes the brand more...
