I would start by asking if there is one you prefer aesthetically, inside and out. For me, I prefer the 24 in both regards, so it is an easy answer. 25 will give you extra tech and an enhanced PDR if you prefer those things.
Something so special about these cars is whether you just get a...
Finally got some range time in. So I drive my manual shifting supercharged V8 about 25 miles, shoot guns, and then took a longer loop home. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
I am on my second 6MT CT5-V Blackwing. I did around 5000 miles on the first one, and it is currently over 6000 miles (I am friends with the guy I sold it to). The new one is just about to pass 1500 miles. No issues with either car. Neither of mine exhibits a 1-2 notchiness or needs double...
Exactly. The car I found and wanted was over 1800 miles away. Almost as far as possible. And the driver picked it up and was at my driveway in under 48 hours. This is exactly why I say search the inventory, find the car you want, and start banging on the dealer. I got lucky to find exactly...
Pepe Cadillac in White Plains in NY gave me 8k off my 2024 Black Diamond Tricoat manual 5 in October, and I think Nick got about the same. In June they had 8 Blackwings. Last I checked a month ago, they still had a single unit in white. Don't remember if it was auto or manual.
Are you still looking for a 5 Blackwing? Or are you buying another 4?
Stop trying to find an advertised deal and instead find cars you want. Call the dealer and get after it. I told you mine was listed at full MSRP. But it was the single car I wanted. Their initial offer was no discount...
Absolutely. As a 5 owner, who owned a 4, it is easy to say the 4 is a much better value. The 5 offers the such a different driving character, but it adds quite a premium to get it.
Could not agree more with all your remarks.
I have owned both Blackwings in manual. There is nothing bad to say about the 4. But I agree with others, and posted 2 years ago, that the motor while acceptable is not overly exciting.
5 Blackwing is an entirely different machine that produces...
There is definitely some luck of the draw involved. My 2022 Rift Metallic sat at GM about 3 months before being shipped to Sewell. The paint was absolutely fine.
My 2024 Black Diamond Tricoat was produced end of February and delivered to the dealer in less than 30 days. Then it was in a...
Congrats again. I'm sure you will get used to the cabin. The performance is outstanding at any cost, but happens to be a great deal here, IMO. And that double curved roof... man, I love it. I am very intrigued with the manual Z4 in the green color, but still prefer the looks of the Supra.
Nice car!! I flirted w a white 24 manual about 4-5 months ago at a dealer in OK. MSRP, but they wanted $1500 or so for their film and tint. I told them no way, I have my own local guy. The car was in transit and so they agreed. But after driving a used one locally (automatic), I felt too couped...
Very cool, congrats!! Honestly, I could tell in other posts you were not going to buy a CT5-V Blackwing. I'm glad you settled on the Miata, very cool car, and very different.
Sound, torque, front end feel / steering, steering wheel, and driver display. The single worst thing about my M4 was the engine and exhaust sound. Which is - literally - amplified and worsened by hitting the exhaust button on the console. Absolutely abhorrent design.
Ha ha, not me. I'm staying in full stealth mode, w a touch of dazzle from the BDT.
Found great black friday deals on the black lugs and mono badges. Should receive soon. My car came w black locking lugs (dealer thankfully left in the box) but not the full set. Can't wait to add these last 2...
I don't think the pricey options pay back.
I would remove as much of the carbon as you could and replace with standard plastic pieces. Sell the carbon parts on the BMW forum.
PS, I sure miss my carbon fiber roof. Love that the car included it stock.
If I am being honest, I LOVED the look of my M4. I do miss that, and that it was a coupe. I know most thought it was fugly, but not me. And the interior, so damn nice. Premium materials everywhere, excellent assembly. But aside from the 3 seconds of bliss from a standstill, it just did not...
