Tire Temperature Gauge - How much faith?

I just put my 22-5BW away for the winter. Won't take her out till April. I only have 7500 miles on her and the tires looked like slicks from day one.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

When I went, the instructors said that if you were coming near their rear bumper, they would just keep going faster and for you to try and keep up. It is their home field advantage and they did make it interesting. I was impressed with how they could drive the course and do it watching from...

What "don't" you like about your BW"?

I think I need to get my ventilated cooling checked on my seats. During the summer I can barely feel it. In my Telluride you can chill your nutsack !

From the Santa Cruz Highway Patrol page

My village had two charges that they would negotiate down to. #1 Opening your door into traffic and #2 Jay walking. The village would then set a monetary fine with no points. This way the state would not get a cut of the fines received. We were also advised to avoid writing "movers" on state...

    Fire Extinguishers (Running Methanol)

There are some videos out there showing that Element is only good on a very small fire that just started. Not electrical. If you have a full on engine bay fire, there isn't enough material in the thing to put it out. The videos I saw, years ago, when I was interested in getting it, showed it...

    CT5-V 26 CT5V

They said that the 2022-23 would be the last of the V8's. Hence, I went and bought my 2022. They lied. Dodge Challenger marketing are the true masters of Bull Shit. It took them 14 years to finally stop making them.

    Fire Extinguishers (Running Methanol)

I've seen the Elements in real action. Take a pass. Other chemical fire extinguishers actually do more damage to the car when used. Halon was great until it was banned. If my car ever caught fire, I would throw some paper on it before the firetrucks got there and let it be totalled.

    I’m afraid it’s totaled

Hopefully, nothing got ingested into the turbos.

    Pad for right knee rest?

My only issue is that my right knee is only an inch away from the dashboard. I am concerned that in a front end collision, my knee is going backwards and I will end up with a mangled leg and hip.

    I’m afraid it’s totaled

It looks like most of the damage went up and over the frame rails. It looks worse than it really is. A good shop can fix it . If the airbags popped, the insurance companies have a tendency to just total it and sell it at Copart at auction. They don't want to deal with supplemental recalls...

How many miles on the odometer at pickup?

I didn't even test drive my 2022 5BW. I learned everything I needed to know off of the internet. There was NOTHING negative that they were able to say about these cars. I was sold.

    Steering wheel data plate

Alot of work, money and research for such a small part ! But, without it, someone would have something to say.

CT5-V Floor mats with red piping?

You can just take your existing floor mats to a carpet store. Some of them have the machine that makes the border for carpet runners and you can get any color you want added to your floor mats.

From the Santa Cruz Highway Patrol page

The courts are part of the government money generator. They won't let you off unless you have 100% proof you were innocent. There are always 3 sides to the story. They want a piece of your wallet and really couldn't care less about whether you get points or not. If they got a cut of the...

From the Santa Cruz Highway Patrol page

I am retired and have told many complainers to just go to court and play " let's make a deal". Usually it works out with a monetary lower fine and zero points. Just a waste of your time and some money. Most just don't want the points to show on their record and possibly raise their insurance...

    CT5-V WTF - melting piston

Every car has a story and my 67' Caddy has been in my family since new. I have spent far more money on her just keeping it running and looking nice. Its true that the sentimental value is worth far more than the actual value. I have wanted to give up on this car so many times. I'm just glad...

    CT5-V WTF - melting piston

In a related comment about finding the right technicians......I have a 1967 Cadillac deVille convertible. 205,000 miles on her. (Original family owned.) The car has had electrical issues, blowing fuses, dim lights or none at all. I have had a few recommended guys. Most just average. I was...
