They are very different cars. The Ct4 is like a BMW 3-series. The CT5 is like a BMW 5-series (or heck, size wize, a 7-series from a generation or so ago). It's amazing what a few inches in each direction does to change how a car feels. I have a 4 and after driving a 5, the step up...

I have an issue where occasionally it won’t recognize my phone is connected or will drop connection (even though music is streaming) so CarPlay isn’t an option and I have to control music directly on my device.

Oh gosh - Thanks! It’s basically windshield tint but I asked for it to be put on the side windows instead. Llumar Air 80 is the name brand although there are a lot of options that do the same thing with different names. I did it to my last black car too…I like the contrast and the “mildness”...

I did an early-2000’s era AMG style air-blue tint on mine to avoid looking too “hard.” 😂. It helped with the heat down here a lot.

How often do the plugs need to be replaced? Do the performance plugs last as long as the factory standard plugs once you switch?

Well…I don’t really think of the CT4-V as a consolation prize car. It’s very good and stands on its own and quite frankly, it’s what I could afford reasonably - It’s MY “sledgehammer” and “scalpel” (and frankly I like the looks of the 4 a little more) so there’s that. Not sure why comparisons...

I mentioned this earlier - in this thread…most comparisons seem to be to the competition but that to me, that didn’t seem like a reasonable comparison…especially if it’s stick. Car and Driver did that at this year’s Lightning Lap and Motortrend compared the 4 to the Comp in their head to head.

I started down this road a last month when I got the car and I think the easiest way is going to be an applique (which sounds good on paper but seeing examples looks kind of bad) or a wrap because the finger rest (that's what I'm calling it) seems to part of the unit...? (Links embedded inline)

The blinkers are WAY too quiet and I don’t see an easy place to increase the volume.
