What driving mode do yall use for heavy rain on public streets?

Usually Track for me in the Pacific Northwest. Hydroplaning is independent of PTM mode.

    "Service instrument cluster" warning

My 5BW is in the shop for this now. I got that warning and a couple about safety assistance systems being offline. Dealership said it's the rear detection module causing the problems in my case (I was in the process of replacing a relatively new battery before realizing it was something to...

Engine Break In - 500 mi or 1500 mi

Unless it has changed since I bought my '22, that's backwards. The engine break in was 500 miles and rear diff was 1,500 miles.

    Does your dipstick suck?

I got 99 problems but this isn't one of them 😀

Are you f'ing kidding me, GM? Red Seatbelts - ONE belt mismatched?!?!

I got one thru Evergreen Chevrolet in Issaquah, WA about a month ago but it took a few weeks to show up.

Are you f'ing kidding me, GM? Red Seatbelts - ONE belt mismatched?!?!

I bought that part last month for my 5BW for about $140 from my local Chevy dealer (closer than Cadillac.) Install was easy so long as youre careful with the clips.

    CT4-V Navigation Card part/version

Interesting, thx. While I prefer the most up to date, my big preference is for whichever one integrates with the HUD. In the BW, I get no choice but in our older BMW X5, the onboard and wireless Android / Carplay projections of Waze and Google Maps integrate with the HUD. Oh well, first-world...

    CT4-V Navigation Card part/version

Just curious - are many people using the factory nav?? I'm surprised there's demand for the static outdated database vs something like Waze or Google Maps.

    PDR and SD Card

I almost forgot, don't full sized SD cards have a sliding lock? Could that be out of position causing the issue??

CEL P10BA - Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Coolant Pump Control Circuit

I wasn't aware of that one. Fortunately they replaced the pump and all has been well.

CEL P10BA - Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Coolant Pump Control Circuit

I don't know if it was original or GMPP, but it was covered.

CEL P10BA - Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Coolant Pump Control Circuit

I have a '22 and had the charge air coolant pump replaced about 2 months ago at 49k miles on the clock. Mine was throwing a P10BA:00 code also.

AUTO TRANSMISION AND CAR WASH MODE

For the first 2.5 years, I hand washed my black 5 BW about 1.5 times/wk with 1 waterless wash/week. Life finally caught up to me and the luxury of spending that sort of time being anal about the car went away. Fortunately it's had PPF and ceramic since I picked it up so I now take it through...

AUTO TRANSMISION AND CAR WASH MODE

It's not a big deal. I've done it at the track in between sessions. You'll get a notice of an impending shutdown and you can defeat it extending your time easily and in a typical car wash you won't go into neutral until you go into the car wash so unless you're going into a mile long car wash...

CT5-V Rear seat center seat belt

I can confirm that part #84815212 ($140 from my local Chevy dealer) is a straight swap for my '22 5BW (which came with carbon seats, semi aniline leather, and a grey middle belt).

Help with changing cabin air filter 5BW

Exactly the same for my fat hands. No need to drop the box, just work over the top and open the cover like Champale explained.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Having been to Spring Mountain a couple of times and with a couple of decades of SCCA autocross and HPDE, my ONLY complaint is I wish they had an advanced course. Otherwise, I went for free and would still say it's well worth the money for anybody who doesn't have a lot of track time or needs...

Tire Temperature Gauge - How much faith?

I would interpret it as the tires are X degrees above ambient temperature which is independent of whether the tires are safe to use. As far as I've seen, there's no setting to tell the car you're driving an all season, r-compound, or a hybrid like the TPC spec Pilot Sport 4S tires. The TPC with...

    Alignment

Yes, I do. I can give them my own preferred specs and they will do it every time. Keep in mind, the lifetime package has no usage limits so you could go daily if you were crazy enough. I've measured camber with my own equipment from time to time before hitting the track and their settings are...
