LOL. I wish my wife wanted one of those. She likes crossovers. Currently a CX-30 and previously a Santa Fe. She does like speed so both were turbos but otherwise not super exciting.
I have a PP car and have not driven a non-PP car to compare. But what I can say is that I do not find the ride harsh in Tour mode. It certainly gets very stiff in Track (with Sport in the middle).
My wife is probably a good indicator that the PP ride (in Tour) is quite fine. She hated the...
I am old enough to remember when a package was valued at less then the total cost of the individual options. That was the allure of the package - it was a cost savings. Now they call it a “special edition” and charge you more. Ugh.
I missed the black wheel locks. Good catch. I just assumed if you optioned black lugs, you also got block wheel locks. Apparently not so.
You missed the gloss block name plates ($295). So total option cost without paint is $24,960. Assuming Blue Ocean tintcoat is valued at the same as the...
$26,995 sounds like a lot. But the standard cost of all options included in the package other than paint is $24,830. So the Deep Ocean Tintcoat paint cost is effectively $2,165. That is $940 more than the cost of the Radiant Red Tintcoat paint. Assuming you would have normally ordered all of...
Motor1 asked automakers what percentage of customers opted for a manual in 2025 when offered a choice. Here are the GM/Cadillac numbers:
CT4 V-Blackwing: 61%
CT5 V-Blackwing: 48%
Most cars had a pretty high numbers. The high take rate on manuals is great but makes it even more infuriating...
Only extra thing the PP comes with is cast aluminum rear camber arms. You will need an alignment after installation. Some dealers have included that as part of PDI and other have charged for it.
You are welcome! Necessity is how I learned. I was driving the car home from Dallas and the V1 would not shut up. So I had to quickly figure out what to do.
I recommend a Blendmount and the Gen5DIY power harness for a nice clean install.
you are correct in that is is a KA band the V1 has issues with. Use the V1 app and connect to your V1 via Bluetooth. Then go into the settings and set up custom frequencies to exclude 35.100. See screenshot below on how it should look. Note I do not have X band enabled as it is not used around here.
I can’t imagine red loctite is specified for bolts you ever plan on removing. That requires serious heat to break the bonds. Blue loctite would be what is typically used for bolts you plan on removing in the future. If the fronts have thread locker pre-installed then just see what color it is...
I was going to do the ‘ball bearing hack’ on my Quickjack but decided to go with casters instead. They do raise the Quickjack off of the ground around 3/4” but there is still lots of clearance (about an inch) under a 5BW. Here is a video of the ones I bought (note: not my video).
