it really kinda depends on the track you're running. some tracks you drive with a different line and completely different acceleration and braking points depending on the power and size/weight of the car.
You could always just keep the car a gear or two higher than what is actually called for...
Figured we should start a thread where everyone could post both their AutoX times and lap times from the roadcourse & autoX at spring mountain. I'd suggest using the following format since different cars should run different times and there is more than one track used:
Car: CT5 Manual
AutoX...
this sounds like a similar problem to mine. the starvation nuked all the spark plugs on one bank as well as the rings. required engine replacement. they also replaced the fuel rails, evap canister, fuel lines, and fuel tank.
as an FYI, some of the people on here don't know what they are...
the splitter overhangs the side so it will look a bit weird without them. you also dont get the aero from them deflected stuff from going in and around the wheel well
the 5 pads work extremely well. the failure point, if you can call it that, are the tires getting too hot and greasy. maybe at like VIR you can push the car enough to get the warning message to come up asking you to let the brakes cool, but at my track (which has several long high speed...
While this is true the SRF wet boiling point is extremely high & can take on a lot of moisture before the boiling point has gotten lower then OEM. If you’re tracking the car you want SRF in there bc it will last an entire year while other track fluids need more frequent change. I buy mine from...
Cup 2s would be even worse in cold weather. Summer tires are designed to have the most traction when things are warm and have worse traction than all seasons when things are colder. At least in the GT500 the Cup 2s are SLOWER in straight line speed and provide less traction as one provides more...
My car is different from original poster’s problems. My car had roughly 3,600 miles on it when this all happened including several track days. I’m the only one that has filled the tank since it was new (the car arrived near empty on gas when it was shipped to me) and have never overfilled it. I...
GM engineering I know wanted everything that came off my car sent to them and wanted a LOT of data collected on the car. That delayed by several weeks me getting it back.
just in time to sit in the garage for the 3 inches of snow that's about to hit! but seriously i am glad it isn't sitting around the dealers anymore. it's definitely much safer sitting in my garage vs there
