Some of these timelines make no sense. I ordered a truck (Ram) about 10 years ago and it took about 8 weeks total. This was order entry, build, shipped, and delivered. It was produced in Michigan and delivered to Texas in 2 months. The shipping portion shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks.

The 4BW configurator has been up since the beginning of August.

It's a fact that the 6.2l in the truck/SUVs has issues. That doesn't necessarily mean it's in all 6.2l.

There are unresolved issues with the 6.2l. Most have shown up on GM trucks/SUVs. They could be holding until they resolve the issues.

Just got this back from an order I thought was submitted on 8/1. Does this mean that it was just submitted yesterday?

Inventory for what I want has been nearly impossible. I was looking at inventory for a 2024 starting in May. I haven't seen one with 6MT and Coastal Blue.

I have three on order right now. One is a high volume (Sewell) and another was mentioned by someone on this forum (both are in Dallas). The third is my local dealer.

The virtual assistant still seems to be down today.

I think allocation is the key. I have orders with three dealers. I haven't seen any of them get to the GM acceptance level. Last dealer said to plan for late December or early January.

I got the order number. Put it in the virtual assistant: "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but not officially been accepted by GM at this time."

I have been trying to order a 25 4BW. I have put in "orders" at 3 different dealers over the past month and half. None of them have given me an order number at this point. I haven't gotten much information from them as well. My guess is that none of them have allocation. I know one is a high...

Any update on this? I have been trying to get a dealer to order one, but no luck. It must allocations.

My wife's SUV has a very similar cruise. I have only used it on long straight highway stretches. It's good when you want to eat and drive :). Other than that, I typically like to be in control.

I was thinking something similar. I don't own either at this point. The M3 needs two modifications right at purchase (front grill and oil cooler cover). I haven't found anything needed for the 4BW.

I'm trying to figure that out as well. It sounds like you can negotiate if it's on the lot. No one has mentioned below MSRP on an order.

A utility vehicle is nice to have. I mean it weighs almost as much as a half ton truck. Might as well have some hauling capability. Full transparency, I drive a half ton 4 door truck 50% of the time.

I think you got it right "cruising". The M3 and M5 are good highway cruising cars. Fast, but feel like big long cars. Driving the M3 felt heavy, I can't imagine what the M5 feels like.

Any differences from the 2024 model?
