Funny about the test drive - I told the dealer there was no way I was buying a car unless I drove it first. They let me drive it. The rest is history.

My black paint was AWFUL from the dealership. Took a competent detail guy 12 hours to correct it. Dealership was not interested in cost sharing.

I elected to do the swirl removal myself this weekend. Told the dealer I didn’t want the same guy that caused the damage trying to fix it. I was afraid I would have no clear coat left. At least with my many hours of sweat, I know it will be done right.

That's a good question. The answer is a resounding "I'm not sure". I definitely would have had them fix the trunk, because there is a 2" superficial scratch on it. The rest of it I can probably do with my dual-action and some polish at home. It's just going to take me several hours...

Agreed. I know I didn't swirl it -- I use good stuff. Also had a 3" scratch on the trunk lid (which is the most swirled panel) from the dealer. When I get a flashlight out, it looks like someone cleaned the car with a Brillo pad. Not happy -- got an email to the dealer last night. We'll see...
