18x10 square possible for CT4VBW for track days?

Mount one of your 275/35's on a front wheel and test fit it. If it works then 275/35-18 can be your square setup. If they are too tall, I know 275/30-18's will fit mounted on 18x10 wheels, so that could be your square. You could also go 285/30-18 square or even 295/30-18 square on 10" wheels...

Wanted Damaged CT4 BW Carbon Fiber front splitter wanted

I'm hoping someone would be willing to nearly donate a damaged splitter to a racing cause. I'd like to play with it and modify it for more downforce for my track day adventures.

What were your must have options?

Resale value - correct, some buyers wouldn't care, but some buyers wouldn't buy a car without it. IMHO

    Track Day Tires

Reporting on the topic of track day tires and the Michelin Porsche Cup N2 slicks I tried. This stuff is all new to me and I'm learning as I go. The shop that mounted the tires probably inflated them to a standard 35psi. I put them on the car and out I went. Fortunately I was sensible enough...

    Track Day Tires

In order to do this analysis you need to have clean laps. I'm dealing with so much traffic I rarely get a clean lap. I think it may be time to try driving with the "C" group. But I also need to start working on late passing and entering turns from an inside line, so there's still a lot to...

What were your must have options?

First and foremost was manual shift. I would not have bought the car except for that. I ended up with a dealer's Watkin's Glen car with the PDR. I had no interest in the PDR at the time. Now I would say, don't order a car without it! I had never been on a track before, now tracking it is my...

    CT4 Blackwing at Sonoma

I watched this again and damn you are really pushing it. 1.6g in turn 3 - wow!

    CT4 Blackwing at Sonoma

Wow, I think I might feel lost with all that space everywhere. Here's July 4th at Watkins Glen. Look how tight things look compared to Sonoma. I'm running Porterfield brakes, which have really increased the stopping power and pushed back braking points. 2.7 front and 1.7 camber. I'm...

    Warning! Scammer among us!

Summarizing it briefly: I had posted an ad of bronze wheels wanted for a CT4 BW. Some time later I received a message from Trojan2029 saying he had a buddy here on the site that had a set he'd be willing to sell. He said the person was xxxxxxxx on the site and that his email was xxxxxxx...

Calling all Blackwings and V cars to Watkins Glen

You're close, I'm over 6 hours away. Of course Audis are allowed. The more the merrier.

Calling all Blackwings and V cars to Watkins Glen

The annual HOD membership fee, plus 2 track days with an instructor will be around $1K. I'd suggest being on the track Fri & Sat, catching some passenger rides with others Sunday morning and starting your ride home by noonish. The instructors don't get paid, but they get to drive there cars...

Calling all Blackwings and V cars to Watkins Glen

It's a very family friendly environment. Babies in strollers, dogs on leashes and kids driving little electric cars around the paddocks. They want you to NOT leave your wives and girlfriends at home. They also want your wives and girlfriends out driving on the track.

Calling all Blackwings and V cars to Watkins Glen

You can camp for free in the paddock, or stay in a local hotel. Friday night they'll cook hamburgers and hotdogs and people hang out talking. Saturday night there's a pig roast and a band. Last weekend there was drift cars for passenger rides (the line was a hour and a half long), a huge car...

Calling all Blackwings and V cars to Watkins Glen

I was at Watkins Glen last weekend with Hooked On Driving and I was the only Cadillac there. Come on guys, we need some representation! There's another 3 day event at the Glen Oct 10-12. Is there any interest out there?

    Track Day Tires

Yes, there's always another second to be gained by continued refinement, but I'm not looking to become a professional driver. I have limited funds to play with and want to wring the most excitement out of few track days I do. I'm looking for the "low lying fruit" to more speed. Since you are...

    Track Day Tires

I can now confirm that 25/64-18's and 27/65-18's fit the CT4 Blackwing with no issues. I tried Michelin Porsche Cup N2's and for an as of yet unknown reason, they just didn't work. I was sliding around more than with stock tires

Blackwing-spec PS4Ss heat cycle out long before wearing out?

Here's one of the melting sessions.

Blackwing-spec PS4Ss heat cycle out long before wearing out?

125 of them of course. Our OEM tires are really good tires. Nobody can explain it, but the Porsche Cup N2 slicks I tried were horrible, I was sliding around everywhere on the track - very scary.

Blackwing-spec PS4Ss heat cycle out long before wearing out?

Is melting part of the heat cycling process? These new tires only have 125 miles on them.

    5BW for 4BW

The JB4 device intercepts the signals from the sensors, alters them and sends the altered signals on to the ECU. Using the altered signals, the computer adjusts it's tuning, just as it does based on elevation and/or air temperature per it's factory programming. The ECU never receives a signal...
