I would also think it to be excessive input, but when I go back and look at the times I've started to slide there's always a fraction of a second at huge input levels like seen here.
There's no thinking about what you're doing in a situation like this. You need to be reacting instintually, or...
For 285's or 295's in the front you loose the rear portion on the fender liner and grind away some flanges/seems. It's a matter of priorities. Is it your daily, a full on track car, or where in between? If a full on track car, you can go as far as a 315/30/18 square setup. You need -3.0...
I am currently running 285/30/18 and 295/30/18.
I tweaked my final order to 18x10 ET17 and 18x11 ET47. I will run 295/30/18 and 315/30/18 on the new wheels when they arrive. Probably will go with Hoosier R8's, which is a new tire that just came out. It's a full race slick.
You have Watkins Glen a few hours away!
Having tasted the track, there's not much thrill to be had on the streets for me. I do find myself looking at entrance ramps, exit ramps, etc differently. I'm always thinking about my line. Applying the idea of late apexing makes regular driving...
See what a cream puff it is? Still has all those factory fresh stickers. I'll have to check, the protective film might still be on the screen. Only driven on track days!
The answer I was looking for was the computer displaying a 121 mile range with a full tank.
It's interesting all the observations being made while I had tunnel vision to the oddity I was focused on.
The first set was from a different supplier and they took about 75 days. That was forged aluminum in one of their standard models. I'm planning on 90 days for these. You can get any offset you want. I finalized on 18x11 ET47 for the rear. I had said 18x10 ET15 for the front, but yesterday...
Yeah, full tank of gas and my range is 121 miles. That's actually coming up as a result of the drive to and from the gas station. I don't get 100 miles from a tank on the track.
Of coarse 32mpg is obtainable, every time you let off the gas and coast you're getting over 35mpg at that moment.
Edit: Then again, what is it like for you guys with automatics? Coming over the crest of a hill during a lazy drive I can put it in neutral and see 99mpg for a while.
I don't remember what brand, but we know it's a 300 cell cat. With 200 or 300 cell cats you get a raspy sound that people don't like. The crossover tube makes the raspy sound go away. Use 400 cell cats and you don't need the crossover tube.
Yikes!! look at the pipes entering and exiting the...
Yes, ARH uses G-Sport cats, but it's not as simple as that. G-Sport has cats that range in price form $100 to $1,200, so you really need to know exactly which cat is being offered to do a proper comparison. Here's a general rule of thumb:
200 cell cats - you're going to have CEL issues
300...
You are correct in that most of the weight reduction can be accomplished with aluminum. The OEM wheels are rather .... "fat" in that their esthetic design has more mass than is needed for structural integrity. The VS-5RS wheels are "thin" in that they only have as much material as needed to...
