(and not to belabor this bitchfest much longer, but the main reason this pisses me off is that they had this feature for the prior iteration of the car, got rid of it for the first year of the facelift… and then brought it back!
This wasn’t a case of a new software architecture or some sort of...
Exactly, I wrote verging, not “we should sue!”
This is more of a comment on what triggers civil suits: those who see the opportunity and have the means to pursue it.
Equating Caddy with lawsuit precedent in the exotic markets Is because of the financial means of the typical owners.
You may be...
Precedent is the exotic car market. One example is where an OE states they will produce X amount of cars in the model run, but then they produce more than stated. Claimed value depreciation due to higher than stated supply has resulted in actual suits.
Like I said: verging on lawsuit...
I am actually pretty pissed that they removed it for 2025 but are bringing it back for 2026. That's verging on lawsuit territory when an OE randomly decontents a model year, which could lead to devaluation.
I'm hoping the base integration hardware is there, and this may just be a mirror guts...
Yes on front camera.
And my wife took her first ride in our 2025 5BW this evening and her first question from the passenger seat was: where’s the volume knob?
Actually, maybe it’s a good thing that it’s missing. I have full control on the steering wheel.
So how do I find out about this event now that I’m a new 5BW owner? I wonder if it matters that I registered it through my business.
Everyone knows how to do the poor man’s race harness with the three point seatbelt, right?
Thank you sir.
Dropped off the BW yesterday at the detailers for the week, so drove my RS6 today.
And the RS6 definitely felt “lesser” than it did before I racked up some miles on the BW.
That Tremec is a pure joy.
And I am really shocked at how loaded up with technology the BW is...
After putting about 100 miles on my 2025 5BW, is a tiny bit of idle roughness normal? I notice it with my hand on the shifter at idle, can even see my hand shake a tiny amount. It’s not perceptible on the tach.
No check engine, no misfiring under any load.
It’s almost like a mild performance...
My time in the goat rodeo has thankfully ended. She’s finally home.
When I arrived at the dealer, I saw that I made an error ordering though, lol.
I didn’t realize the “top tier” seats were both aniline leather *and* carbon backed. I thought the $8k cost was just the leather upcharge, and...
I bet the tariff applies to the wholesale cost of the vehicle, not the retail selling price.
And I bet Porsche Germany finds a way to legally tariff engineer so that the wholesale cost is even lower than it is now.
Might be as low as 10% of the total retail price of a vehicle, which probably...
No, CF2 was.
My build was in mid Jan, delivery order was flagged with the oil pan issue for dealer to PDI (and I reminded them regardless after reading the horror stories here).
I was able to check out a couple 4BW in Drift, ironically one at Caddy Delaware, before pulling the trigger for my 5...
Could be. I definitely had to hit up a lot of dealers. I had no history with this one.
I even had to pass on three allocations they got because either color or CF2 was constrained.
My patience paid off I guess:
I pick it up Saturday and knock on wood there isn’t some glaring issue when I go...
I’ll say again, I paid MSRP for my 25.
Spec’d it myself.
Drift (25 color)
CF2
CCB
PDR
Etc
I decided the $15k immediate depreciation by paying Cadillac of Delaware an ADM wasn’t reasonable in this market, and I found a couple dealers local to me that agreed.
I did have to wait a couple months...
