    CT5-V Mini tubbing

I would expect that in a truck with no weight over the rear end. You can get away with a bit more power in a heavier car, especially with a longer wheelbase like a 4 door Cadillac. My Hellcat Challenger made just over 1000hp, 892whp and it would hook up on 20" Nitto 555R2 drag radials above...

LOTS of people run drag radial tires on the street. If you want traction and your car makes above 700whp or so, it becomes a necessity if you're in the Mexico street racing scene.

Not to me, spinning isn't winning. While its certainly possible to help overcome the traction issues with drag radials and drag suspension, etc, it starts to take away from what was an all-around sports car. I find that somewhere around 650-700whp is about the limit in these cars on street tires...

Well, in fairness, AWD changes everything when it comes to traction and the Tesla Model S Plaid is the best bang for the buck vehicle on the planet off the showroom floor. Any RWD vehicle with power is going to struggle with traction on the street.

Don't hate on EVs, once you own it will change you. Ive had 3 Tesla's one of them being a Model X Plaid and currently have a 2025 Hummer EV 3x. EVs have their place and a real blast to drive.

She is absolutely outstanding for sure, but perfect is in the eye of the beholder. I need a bit more power, and some wheels, and a new hood for her to be perfect to me.

Tire compound beats tire width any day. Going with a 305 or 315 drag radial is going to give you better traction than a 355 street tire. That being said, once you start tubbing the rear end, you are going to throw handling out the window and turn the car into a drag car. Which drag radials did...

Pretty certain you would be the first. Seems a bit unnecessary though unless you're just chasing a look. Tim King just ran 8.9@158mph in his CT5 BW last week on 18" wheels and tires on the rear, full weight car and stock block.

Thats true too. It is an option unlike porting your OEM blower.

    CT5-V Time to mod...

Everything you mentioned is solid recommendations. The OE heads are very good but more power can be gained by porting and the engine has to be pulled to install a cam in these cars so it just makes sense to port the heads while you're there so that you're not paying for labor twice if you decide...

No, my ZL1 made 697whp FBO on 93 octane, this included Rotofab intake, 103mm TB, Kong ported blower (not X-port), ATI Damper w/9.45 lower pulley, stock upper pulley, 2" Kooks headers, high flow cats, ECM tune. A cam would have added another 30whp for sure and more fuel if I wanted to push the...

    After market carbon fiber parts

I have Anderson Composites front splitter and rear spoiler. Both fit perfectly and the build quality is second only to OEM and Exhibitions of Speed.

Already been there, done that with the ported blower on my 2021 ZL1, had upgraded heat exchanger and aux tank. car made 697whp before it ran out of fuel on 93 octane, but I did a lot of data logs and it would heat up quick with a back to back pull in the spring and summer months. You're right...

Magnuson 2650 is around 8k by itself. Then you need new valve covers unless you plan on cutting yours up, thats another 1k. Porting the stock blower is certainly an option but the cooling sucks so you have to add more equipment to keep the stock blower from heat soaking such as heat exchanger...

    CT5-V Time to mod...

VR is not cheap but they're work is impeccable and surprisingly, there are quite a few things that are needed to go with a build like that most people probably don't factor in. But to answer your question, its roughly $23k, I chose to have the car tuned instead of letting the stock ECM adjust...

    CT5-V Time to mod...

We're going to find out how much of a restriction the stock exhaust manifolds and cats are. I have no doubt that the 2650 is capable of making 100hp, just don't want to have to spin it harder to get there because the stock exhaust is a bit restrictive.

    Low dust brake pads

Carbotech 1521 is the best option and possibly the only option for these cars right now depending on how much brake dust you want to tolerate.

LT4s run out of fuel on the stock fuel system right around 700whp (800 crank HP). At that point, you have several options to increase fueling, port fuel injection, camshaft, high side high pressure fuel pump. Meth injection can also be used as a band-aid to help with fueling.

    CT5-V Time to mod...

I've made the decision to mod my 2024 CT5-V BW with 8500 miles on it. I'm tentatively scheduled to send it to Vengeance Racing in late Nov. since they stay booked up well over a month out. I already laid down my deposit so I'm committed at this point. I had previously used Vengeance Racing on my...
