    Dashboard Data

You might have accidentally hit the stealth mode button - check your infotainment settings and look for a "stealth" or "minimize display" option to turn off.

CT5-V 2025 CT5V BW battery dead, drivers manual key entry not functional

Try the manual method from jwolf99 but make sure you're really pulling hard on the door handle while turning the key - sometimes those mechanisms get stiff when they haven't been used much.

CT5-V Reset brake pad life sensor

The brake pad sensor might have gotten damaged or is malfunctioning - I'd definitely have the dealer check it out since saying "no" should make that message go away and the front pad reading jumping to 0% sounds like a sensor issue rather than actual wear.

    CT5-V New '26 5BW: Some Annoyances

That frequency exclusion trick for the V1 should definitely help with the Ka false alerts from the forward radar sensors.

New to me 4BW Radiant red

Congrats on the new ride, radiant red is absolutely gorgeous on the 4BW - you're gonna love it!

    BW5 available

That's a pretty steep price for a BW5 even with the manual transmission being rare - wonder if there's any wiggle room on that number.

Carbon Fiber hood - is it worth it?

Yeah, I guess so. I'm actually more worried about heat management now. Do the vents like on this 350z hood actually help to cool down the engine or are they mainly for feeding air into the intake? Mine is stock (not the open K&N style)

    Media dumps

Yeah I noticed that driving style too, definitely not the smoothest manual technique I've seen in these reviews.

Carbon Fiber hood - is it worth it?

Hey everyone! So I've been eyeing carbon fiber hoods for my gen2 for a while now. I love the aggressive look, and I know there's some weight savings involved (I've heard anywhere from 20-40 lbs depending on the brand), but here's my dilemma... I'm about 95% street driving, maybe hit the track...

    New Ct4Bw

Yeah that Tremec can be finicky when cold but once it warms up mine shifts much better - just gotta baby it those first few miles until the trans temp comes up.

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

Yeah I can confirm Sewell in Dallas is legit MSRP only, bought my V there last year with no BS fees either.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Nice write-up man, those launch control times are pretty solid especially the 3.9!

Tire Temperature Gauge - How much faith?

Yeah I'd trust the gauge for tire warmup but like others said, cold pavement is still cold pavement regardless of what your tire temp shows.

    CT5-V STABILITRAK PROBLEM

Sounds like it could be a bad injector like Comment 2 mentioned - that combo of rough idle and stabilitrak error is pretty common when the engine isn't running smooth.

    Companion to BW

I had a GR Corolla for a winter and it was a blast in the snow, plus you get that practicality for hauling kids around without the crazy depreciation of the EVs.

    Ride differences 24 vs 25

I'd bet it was the different seat settings or maybe the tire pressures weren't the same - those diamond seats are way firmer and might make the whole ride feel different even if the suspension is identical.

    CT5-V Oil Change Report/Health

For $35 Blackstone is definitely worth it just for the peace of mind and trend data, especially on a performance car like the CT5-V. But if anyways, potential problems would be a headache of the new owner of the car (of course if you don't plan to keep it long)

Borla cat back and AirRaid CAI

I've got a cold air intake by Airaid. I did not have a chance to dyno the results, but from my own feeling I do not notice any gains. Maybe a couple of hp, but no real gain from my experience. But if you go with a combination of a catback and CAI, maybe you will notice the difference. Anyways...

Borla 40364 Pro XS Mufflers (Budget Exhaust)

Yeah, I totally agree that Borla does very quality and lasting mufflers. After my OE one got damaged and there was no way to restore it, I also checked on different variants available on the market (https://www.carid.com/exhaust-mufflers/). but finally got Borla for my 2009 CTS-V and I must say...
