Dealer Couldn't Set Up Track Alignment?

I don't think that overfilling the oil will cause it to run hot. Using the wrong viscocity is possible, and I know that can be an issue with the LT4 (CT5) but I don't know what the V6 requires. Unfortunately, the days of a mechanic becoming the service advisor seems to be a think of the past...

CT5-V Missing Volume knob on MY25+

Well, of course most if not all of us plan to retire at some point. But I think it's mostly psychological - when the market is down, even if your portfolio is still good and your personal financial future looks bright, it's hard not to want to think defensively. At least for me, anyway.

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

True, an overfill is as bad or even (some say) worse than underfilling. I suggest that you read the manual, as the Google results may not be accurate. I think you're supposed to wait 5-10 minutes after running a warm engine to check the level, but I could be mistaken. Once you've determined...

One could possibly infer from this that the markup on these warranties is crazy high. Good for you, knowing how to negotiate.

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

Agreed. Just trying to clarify the earlier statement. And Audi still make cars with manual transmissions, they just don't sell them in the USA anymore. Because we (Americans collectively, not us on this forum) are a bunch of weenies who are more concerned with our smart phone integration...

Bzzzzt. The ITS (Integra Type S) comes only in a manual.

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

This story sucks on so many levels, it's just sad. I get this whole philosophy of a business needing to make a profit and commissioned sales people trying to maximize their income, and I've got no issue with any of that. But pure, unmitigated greed and lying are just not acceptable.

    CT4-V Frustration with build quality

Agreed, that's crap. I don't know the lemon laws in CA, but you should learn what they are and proceed from that point. A lawyer is not always necessary. I speak from experience (albeit in a different state). Best of luck.

    Engine Failure

That's one of the savage geese guys, yes? It was a good, rational, probably accurate explanation. I just wish more people could write. I'd rather read a concise, logical paper than listen/watch a podcast or video. People just ramble and repeat themselves so much. General comment. Not a...

CT5-V Steel option for CCB rotors

The cars are BBW, yes, but they still use fluid. However, the type of pad/rotor does not require or use different fluid. You should flush the fluid every two years. I doubt that @Savethemanuals has air in the system, or that he boiled the fluid, he probably did more braking than ever before...

    25 5VBW Easter Egg

According to the press release referred to above, this: ... Parking Package (RPO code Y6L) as standard equipment. Previously offered as a $710 option for the 2025 model year, this package incorporates a few notable enhancements, such as (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses): Air filter...

Did I fall into the Twilight zone and end up on a Porsche forum?

    25 5VBW Easter Egg

I kind of figured that must be it, but with the poor lighting and resolution and lack of contrast and my old eyes and all the pollen in the air, I can't really make it out as an Omega sign. Ω

CT5-V Steel option for CCB rotors

I thought that one of the benefits of CCB was better performance - little to no fade - on the track. Seems like you're kind of defeating the purpose if you go to steel. But I get the cost factor, fer sure. Many moons ago when I campaigned a Corvette on track, I had some Brembo brakes up front...

Decision Time, wouldn't mind the wisdom of the crowd

According to his/her profile, they went with the '25. I hate it when people ask for advice, tell us they'll let us know the decision, and then don't bother.

Summer tires in cold weather ?

My two cents, which is worth about twice what you paid for it: I run the PS4S tires year-round, and I've done the same on other high performance cars. They are great tires and as long as it's dry they work in the cold just fine (presuming that you act responsibly). I believe that the days of...
