I've seen the Elements in real action. Take a pass. Other chemical fire extinguishers actually do more damage to the car when used. Halon was great until it was banned. If my car ever caught fire, I would throw some paper on it before the firetrucks got there and let it be totalled.
My only issue is that my right knee is only an inch away from the dashboard. I am concerned that in a front end collision, my knee is going backwards and I will end up with a mangled leg and hip.
It looks like most of the damage went up and over the frame rails. It looks worse than it really is. A good shop can fix it . If the airbags popped, the insurance companies have a tendency to just total it and sell it at Copart at auction. They don't want to deal with supplemental recalls...
I didn't even test drive my 2022 5BW. I learned everything I needed to know off of the internet. There was NOTHING negative that they were able to say about these cars. I was sold.
You can just take your existing floor mats to a carpet store. Some of them have the machine that makes the border for carpet runners and you can get any color you want added to your floor mats.
The courts are part of the government money generator. They won't let you off unless you have 100% proof you were innocent. There are always 3 sides to the story. They want a piece of your wallet and really couldn't care less about whether you get points or not. If they got a cut of the...
I am retired and have told many complainers to just go to court and play " let's make a deal". Usually it works out with a monetary lower fine and zero points. Just a waste of your time and some money. Most just don't want the points to show on their record and possibly raise their insurance...
Every car has a story and my 67' Caddy has been in my family since new. I have spent far more money on her just keeping it running and looking nice. Its true that the sentimental value is worth far more than the actual value. I have wanted to give up on this car so many times. I'm just glad...
In a related comment about finding the right technicians......I have a 1967 Cadillac deVille convertible. 205,000 miles on her. (Original family owned.) The car has had electrical issues, blowing fuses, dim lights or none at all. I have had a few recommended guys. Most just average. I was...
Maybe I'm just too old now. Just leave well enough alone and don't mess with perfection. In the end , you will be disappointed and it will cost you more money. Unless you like that kind of thing.
I feel sorry for the issues you have. This is exactly why I won't be doing ANYTHING to a car that IMHO opinion, is perfect from the GM engineers that designed and built it. Only cosmetic changes for me. If I did all these expensive modifications to my engine , I would have to just accept...
My friend was told that they had an allocation for his 2022 order. I asked him what his allocation # was (which is really 6 letters) and he said he didn't know. I told him to ask the dealer. When they couldn't provide one for him , I told him he DID NOT have a car ordered. When he confronted...
I have USAA and have been lowering my insurance coverage (deleting collision) while I put it in storage for 6 months every winter. Saves a nice chunk of my NY insurance payments.
I just purchased a Byrna CL, less-lethal . Its an airgun that shoots plastic marbles at 400 fps and hurt like a mother f'er. You can also shoot tear gas or pepper spray balls. I also have my Sig 9mm's that I know I would get in serious trouble for capping someone for stealing my car. If my...
