I'd check for a loose strut tower, or it could be the plastics inside the car flexing. Could be more noise due to the cold. I haven't driven my car enough in lower than 40 degree temps to really offer any personal insight.

Could be the tires, but sounds like something flexing slightly as the chassis is under load. Either interior plastics or the chassis.
