    best exhaust without tune

Here's my write-up: https://www.cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/custom-exhaust-finally-done.3903/ Local shops can simply replace the muffler, or remove altogether for a tiny fraction of what a packaged "cat-back" system costs. Sound is better too. Having said that, I will get the Kooks...

    What would you do?

Dude, You should've smoked him. I gave a model 3 a lesson the other day. I was shocked it could nearly keep up. You have to take advantage of these rare situations where you encounter someone else who is actually driving instead of pushing their head further up their phone in blithering oblivion.

CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

Its a glitch where rev match does its thing even though its off. I had it happen a handful of times early on, but can't remember having it happen recently. However, I have grown to love rev match, so I usually have it on now if I can remember to turn it on.

CT5-V Upcoming After Market Exhausts for CT5 BW

Good luck !! Keep us posted. I think Kooks still sells theirs, but choice is always nice.

CT5-V Upcoming After Market Exhausts for CT5 BW

That's interesting from Concept 841. Their web site only has C6 parts. Not even other Corvette parts !! https://concept841.com/collections/all

    Concave/Deep Dish wheels

Are you looking for something with a lip around the outside rather than the style like stock, and most of Vossen's other wheels, where the spokes are flush with the very outside edge of the rim ? https://vossenwheels.com/wheel/gen-03-3-piece/

General Advice for First Time 5BW Owners

Congratulations !! Spring Mountain is an absolute must. Everyone has had a fantastic experience, and you not only learn about high performance driving, you learn tons about all the car's settings/functions. They showed me how you have to hold the traction control button down for a full 8...

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

How could @savethemanual consider a car with 2 pedals ?!?!? Factory Five just announced a new generation of their Cobra kit: https://www.factoryfive.com/roadster/mk5/ That would be the perfect vessel for the Z06 engine. And with 3 proper pedals. :)

CT5V BW Cold Start Exhaust Sound

Thankfully I don't commute in mine, so I don't worry so much. I already warned my neighbor that "Fast & Loud" was continuing - 1st the Harley, then the Ducati, and now the Cadillac. :)

CT5V BW Cold Start Exhaust Sound

But we still get a tiny % of the cold-start throttle that 'Vettes and Camaros get. They sound WAY better on start-up regardless of the mode your BW is in.

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

@BimmerFan - looks like you're in exclusive company buying a new Supra. I just ready an article that says only 2,615 of them sold in 2024. But the good news - 2 out of 3 of them opted for the 6-speed manual. :) Those are scarily low sales figures. That's not good news for such a great example...

    Z06 guys are lucky

This goes back to the age old comparison we've seen in many threads - if you don't demand 3 pedals, your choices expand exponentially. The Z06 was phenomenal. I was especially surprised by the ride quality - it was very comfy for daily driving. I didn't think ow-end torque (or the lack...

    Make Blackwing Great Again

This is a great thread with some great pics. Check out the sign in front of the Comfort, TX High School. It basically says that you'll be shot on sight if you try to make Comfort the next Uvalde.

    In a dilemma… Help.

The OnStar connectivity fee is insane because all of us already pay for unlimited 4G/5G connectivity for our phones. When will the auto industry finally realize people want the car to use the phone's connectivity instead of the other way around ? Trying to add a ridiculously contrived revenue...

    CT5-V CT5-V BW Reliability/Maintenance Issues

I love my MT 5. But nobody else has experienced the hood ripple above 130-140 ? I've seen it in two different 5 BWs. Hood starts rippling like a sail. I couldn't believe the paint was able to cope with all that movement, but it seemed fine. But I can still count on one hand how many times I've...

    I'm a liar

Congratulations !! Astons are very cool. Getting the last one with 3 pedals should be fantastic. I truly hope she's as reliable as advertised.

    Attempted Theft in Austin

Sorry you had a bad experience here. Thankfully all my vehicles stay in my garage, so nothing to note so far. What race did you recently attend at COTA ? Or was it a driving class ? I've only taken "parade" laps during motorcycle races, but it was pretty cool.

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

I like the new Supra. Its basically a Z4, but with an available clutch and very interesting and unique bodywork. I can't say its beautiful, but I love it and it truly makes a statement. I thought you'd go for something cheap and replaceable if its truly a track toy, like a Miata or a GR86/BRZ...

    Motorcycles, anyone?

That's beautiful !! I don't envy you when cleaning those laced rims............. :)
