    Track Mode

Power is not limited by virtue of being in any specific drive mode. The drive modes dictate how aggressively the computer will reduce power when it detects wheel spin and/or yaw.

    Track Mode

StabiliTrak is a response to the car being yawed (it is pointing a different direction than it is actually moving). That system has a variety of tools to bring a car back into control. Engine power is related to traction control and looks for wheel spin which is distinct from yaw. Here, the...

    Track Mode

Correct, the modes change throttle pedal shaping, how quickly the computer will invoke on wheel spin, and how much the computer will respond to that wheel spin.

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

It definitely wasn't you because my car's twin would be a 4BW. :)

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

I think I saw my car's twin on Rt. 33 between Plain City and Marysville, twice. Once heading northbound around 2 PM, then heading southbound around 4 PM. 🤪

    CT4-V 4BW current miles

I'm around 8.6K miles in about 19 months of ownership. The only problems I've had were a broken HUD button at delivery, intermittent disabling of adaptive cruise (I think the sensor overheats in extended usage on hot days) and one time my rear camera wouldn't display video. For comparison, my...

How is the CT5V BW in mundane driving?

There's always the non-Blackwing 5V. It has most of the goodies without the big motor and price tag.

    Magnetic Paddles by MadTrace

I have magnetic paddle shifters on my sim-racing rig as an upgrade to the spring-based shifters my wheel included. They are an amazing upgrade in terms of tactile feedback and confidence that you requested a shift. A possible downside is their louder sound due to the magnets (which for my...

My BlackWing has been relieved of its duties...

I'm not sure sane people would own one in the first place! :ROFLMAO:

    CT4-V CT4-V BW vs Camaro ZL1 vs C8 Z51

As a C7 Z06 and 4BW owner, I'd lean 4BW for the daily driver. The 4BW can run softer and more docile in touring duties and doesn't require the level of constant attention due to better rearward visibility.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Part of the challenge is they are still using the normal dry line which can become super slick in rain. On a semi-related note, since my vestibular issues limit me to being a sim-racing fan, iRacing recently introduced rain and its awesome! If you track your car and ever expect to be running...

    Hello lads. New ct4v BW

Welcome and congrats! One clarification is the 4BW uses the LF4 engine. The LT4 is the V8 in the 5BW.

    4BW Mileage

My car also has CF1 and CF2.

    4BW Mileage

My lifetime (~8300 miles, A10) is 20.5 MPG.

    Rear reflector mod from amazon

That's their entire point of existing: reflect light cast by external lights so that people can see your car is (parked) in front of them.

    Rear reflector mod from amazon

Do they not have reflectors built into them?

    CT4-V New Owner!

I guess it'll be okay, as long as I don't get any misdirected speeding tickets! 🤣
