[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

Is the loud path routed through a muffler or a straight pipe? Not a fan of straight pipe sound on this engine.

[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

The tips are silly. Should have done stock or similar. If round, definitely not sticking out the way they do.

CT5-V Missing Volume knob on MY25+

This time around it is not an economic stumble but a permanent (as far as my lifetime is concerned) loss of confidence in the US and the dollar as the reserve currency from the rest of world. Don't expect a rebound to where we were 4 months ago. That next dip could be the next ceiling.

    CT4-V Brake Vibration

This appears to be the problem based on my observations over the past 8 years starting with the atsv. Cars that are driven lightly build up material on the rotors and start to feel like they are warped. The dealer then turns them and the problem goes away for a few months. Then it's back and the...

CT5-V HORRIBLE experience with Bayway Cadillac SW

These aren't the cars you want to make a matter of principle stand on. There are a lot of determined buyers. There is no leverage.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

The day after I put them on, one tire started loosing air. Today, I pulled this out of a nearly new tire. It was too close to the sidewall, so I had to plug it. Anyone know what this is? How does that get kicked upright to puncture a tire? We had a bunch of roof/siding replacements in the...

    CT5-V 5BW new tire time - discussion

Generally, I don't think you could do better than 4s TCP. Given that the car was designed for it, is a no brainer. For street driving, just stay it. I will.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

I guess they sell them as a set now. I believe this is it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124915062430?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=s9jBz3hJRxq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=8pF1Bhg1SGe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Full thread engagement. They do what is advertised. Probably not as strong as full lug nilut thickness but it's not as important on that part of the nut.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Cant remember, Summit I think. Don't believe they were sold as a set 5 years ago when I got them. They were much more expensive than the standard ones of the same size. I hope they are now available as a set at amazon.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Finally put the SM-10 on the car. 18x9 ET30 front with a 5 mm spacer. Extended thread lug nuts. No spacer is needed to fit. 18x9.5 ET35 rear My atsv with the same rear offset had a lot more poke. To much in fact. Much better on the bw as it can swallow wider wheels/tires.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

The Z26 will certainly dust a lot less, but they will also bite less. And certainly will take a major hot on the heat capacity, last of which a lot of us are probably not concerned with.

Same here. Putting them on this evening or tomorrow. This spring has been painfully slow coming.

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

These cotton gauze type filters will always filter worse than OEM and a few hp (if any) is only gained at the very top of the rev range. While you are getting inferior filtering on every drive. Sure they are cleanable, but you have to buy a cleaning and oiling kit, spend time washing and...

CT4-V AWE-Tuning.com ready to make full exhaust kits

.........I hope there is a muffler on the loud side and it doesn't stick out from under the bumper like the Corsa, and doesn't throw codes, like CPD. Anxiously waiting for something that better fits my needs..

    Did you name your Blackwing?

I nickname cars really only as a matter of convenience, to make it easier to refer to in conversation with my wife. It is never anything passionate, though I am certainly passionate about cars. My ats-v was "V", her X5 is "X", our explorer was "X", my blackwing is "blackwing". I hate that...

    CT4-V Mirror Caps

Sure did. First attached them with duct tape to make sure there is no whistling before I stick them on with double sided tape. There were no issues and I stuck them on. Thank you!

    CT4-V Mirror Caps

There are videos on youtube for ATS-V cap replacement. It is exactly the same part, so the process is exactly the same. Important note is to do it in warm weather or heat up the mirror with a hair dryer to pop it off. I made a mistake of trying to pry it off in the relative cold and broke the...

    Interesting test of JB4

Its the other way around. Tapout put more development time into their maps (they claim) to get more out of the platform. Whether Tapout ended up with a safer map, that I don't know. They have been at JB4 development for a while so I would expect that they got it right. I suspect that the Tapout...

CT4-V AWE-Tuning.com ready to make full exhaust kits

Not everyone likes the sound of a muffler less exhaust. I don't. I also don't like the backfires that it produces, though l love the mild burbling. Even a small muffler can remove the rasp, while retaining the overall volume. The problem is that you don't know what you will end up with until its...
