    Spring mountain- experienced racers?

As Andi mentioned above, it can be a blast even if you're experienced as the instructors can and will separate you into a sub-group and let you push the cars. The instructors like to have fun too and going 6/10ths in front of most students can get boring for them. On the other hand, having...

CT5-V Red pill or blue pill?

They need to get your trade number up. They are ripping you off. Upper 80's at least IMHO.

    CT5-V 5BW v. 4BW

If my 5BW didn't come with a six-speed manual, I wouldn't have bought it. Period. As nice as the chassis, suspension, brakes, etc. are, if I needed an automatic luxury sports sedan, I'd have seriously considered an M5, E63, RS7/8, etc. before the 5BW.

    CT5-V 5BW v. 4BW

Not to go too far on a tangent, but the '24 Corolla GR Premium is a lot of fun for a weekend/evening toy car. I have a 2 year old boy and 5 year old boy and they fit in the back okay and I have enough room for wife and me in the front (I'm 6'1") to be comfy. Only 200 miles on it, but the...

    CT5-V 5BW v. 4BW

I've had a 5BW six-speed for over 2 years and absolutely love it. Just got back from a 1,300 mile rally and there was nothing else that could hang over bumpy back mountain roads through CO, AZ, and UT due to the incredible compliance and control of the mag suspension and big torque out of...

    My Goat Watch Has Ended

    Lucky, lucky dude! Congrats!

The feel of driving my CT4-V Blackwing

So, I smoked the instructor's reference lap time at a V Performance Lab event at COTA in an ATS-V 5 years ago through the autocross. They said that was the first time that happened. (gotta brag a little sometimes, haha) Also, got to flog the 3rd gen CTS-V on the big track. I did actually like...

Still loving it after 2 years!

9,500 miles, perfect, and still a complete joy to drive every time I get behind the wheel. She's a keeper!

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

It's an automatic. Plus, those of us who never plan to sell the last of the great ICE supercharged V8 super sedans couldn't care less about resale.

CT5-V 2025 Cadillac CT5 Sedan Adds Sleek 33-Inch Screen, New Headlights

Agreed. At least on the old screens, you had good sightlines through and to the sides of the steering wheel. This larger screen, while nice enough looking in pics, seems to have a lot of it's extra screen area bisected and tricected by the steering wheel obscuring vision on some of the screen...

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

Yep, also in for $20k off for a 4BW auto to match my 5BW manual.

You know you are a car nerd when ...

Car nerd. :D :D I don't see the point of reading the manual because then you miss out on the fun of asking questions here on the forum and having people like you say, "RTFM!!" :D :D

    CT5-V Shopping: So discouraging!

The things we do for our Blackwings. :D :D My car #26 six-speed 5BW is in my 'permanent' collection along with my C6 ZR1. I'm not planning on ever getting rid of it unless it blows up on me or turns into a POS. So far, so awesome with 9k glorious miles over the past 2 years. It's worth...

You may be one of the only people who read the manual. :D

    Former/current BMW owners: your thoughts?

Congrats, you're going to love it! Make sure wheel is pointed straight when you nail the happy pedal in 1st, 2nd, and occasionally 3rd depending on road surface. :D

    Former/current BMW owners: your thoughts?

    That’s a good point. A 4 and 5 BW does have a nice ring to it. :)
