    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

A few hours ago, I spoke with the service manager at the local Cadillac dealer. He said there were other customers with the same issue of squeaking seats. Unfortunately, he had no solution. I'm not certain but think he said that only a framework is under the carbon fiber. There is a...

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

Did you read my response? I'm 6'2" and 177, not heavy. Despite being 76, I do better at the gym than the vast majority of guys half my age. Don

I'll mention that to the service manager and see what his response is. So far, I think the dealership is a good one. Don

    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

My 4BW is rattle/squeak free with the single exception of regular squeaking from the carbon fiber seat back. I can minimize the noise by sitting in the back seat and pushing on the perimeter of the seats before I drive. Not something I think I should have to do. I'm going to investigate a...

    Anyone know this car?

I don't know how someone would go from a BW to a Subaru, two entirely different car universes unless you needed something for snow and ice. Don

    Dirty Car

After I had done all I wanted to on the Stinger, I realized my 4BW had the same type of nasty deposits, fortunately less severe. So, need two more packages of Clay Magic and fix the BW. A lot of work created by allowing TX sandblasting. Won't make that mistake again. Don

    Dirty Car

Dealership reminded me of Clay Magic. Of course they really wanted to send me to a detailer, for $200 Clay Magic is working wonders. The hood, half of the roof and trunk area feel really nice. Complete the job and put a coat of wax on and it will be great!!!! Happy camper! Don

    Dirty Car

While I do have a 4BW, I have a very nice and shiny Kia Stinger GT1. Day before yesterday, I washed the car, car paint felt like glass. Left the garage door open and the howling, freaking TX wind blew grit all over it. Next day I rinsed it off, no improvement. Rinsed it off today, no...

Hard to sell looking like this!

The other thing about the Stinger is that there is a plastic shield covering the bottom of all the underhood equipment. About 10 fasteners to remove. I have a partial rotator cuff tear. I am able to do pretty well at the gym by being selective about which machines to use but dealing with those...

Hard to sell looking like this!

My views are as you comment. Again, here in my neighborhood, lots of people pay for their lawns to be mowed, others often have maids. No maids for us. Yards are 3 acres minimum though many lots have lots of trees and steep back yards. I just get on my new Cub Cadet and mow away. Although...

Hard to sell looking like this!

I live in a fairly affluent neighborhood. In the 12yrs we've lived here I have NEVER seen someone washing their car. What that tells me is LAZY. Don

    The 4 gets shafted

You mean the Prius is really a car? I HATE older Priuss. The latest version actually has enough go to be a decent car. Don

    CT4-V Curb Rash

Yep, and to avoid curb rash, I usually don't end up parking in the center of the spot. Don

    CT4-V Curb Rash

Unfortunately, I have offended the Karma gods as the Stinger has some road rash. Don

    CT4-V Curb Rash

She does but mostly she drives our Kia Stinger GT1 which is a pretty potent performer. Don

    CT4-V Curb Rash

I'm pleased that I can say that my 7+ month, 4600 mile old 4BW has not been abused via curb rash! Hope I can keep it that way. Don
