    Buying a pre-owned high MSRP 2024 CT5VBW or a new 2025 model?

In the "for whatever it's worth" department, and a lot to read in this thread, I'd go with a 2024 or wait and order a 2026. There's too much missing on the 2025's that I believe they are putting back in the 2026.. If you could pick up a new 2024 equipped the way you want it, you might be able to...

    Gas Grade

91 is the "norm" for the most part West of the Mississippi. You can get 93, but it's rather rare. Side note: I just got back from a week driving the PCH North of Monterey. I've NEVER seen gas prices that high. "Cheap" regular was $4.75 to well over 5 bucks. Some stations had regular for pushing...

CT5-V Leather Seat Bolsters Looking Worn but Brand New

Maybe it's a "tan" thing. Here's the left side of my drivers side. The right side the the drivers seat doesn't have a crease in it.

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

I don't recall the dates, but being May, you're quickly running out of time to place an order for a 2025. They usually cut off orders in June/July.

    CT5-V Tan Interior

I liked the tan due to it's NOT all black. I think the tan breaks that up. I also find the different colors of the piping very different and I really like it. I still wish mine had the tan. Seems almost every car today has all black interiors and I find it too dark.

    CT5-V Tan Interior

@ajamils ..Good Lord, this is an old thread. So old it should have died. I never got that car. Ordered it with CF1 and CF2 and with carbon seats. All the carbon killed the order. I should have dropped CF1 and CF2, but was too bull headed. The order was cancelled at the end of 2022MY. Of all...

Both were me exact thoughts. GM does another half assed "recall". Way to step up!

    CT5-V Blackwing Extended Warranty Pricing

Looking at those prices, I'd say they are up about 10% since I bought mine back a year ago this month

    Media dumps

Just got my C/D yesterday. Haven't read it yet, but BW for the win. Should be a good read.

    CT5-V CT5V BW Burning 4qtz/Thousand miles

I have around 2000 miles on my current oil, 8000 on the car. The oil has always been amazingly clear, to the point the dipstick is hard to read. I find that a bit amazing. I've had other vehicles that look "dirty" within days or weeks.

    Engine Failure

@TruckeeTaurus ....Um, my dude, 2029 minus 2025 is, um, 4. So, yes, standard warranty is 4y/50K. I'm more interested in your extended warranty info. It's all good!

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

@hawk02 ..They are now 50 bucks. I might put an order in. I think it's limited stock, hense the constant price change.

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

And while we're on the subject, has anyone changed the cabin air filter? I'd think if the engine filter is fairly dirty, so is the cabin filter. And if so, which one? Do you go with the allergen CF185 or the carbon CF184

    CT5-V CT5V BW Burning 4qtz/Thousand miles

Call/email Todd at MacMaulkin. He had the lowest price when I bought mine. Nice, easy to deal with. todds@thompsonauto.net

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

If your oil is above the cross hatch area, it's overfilled. I'll admit, the dip stick is at times a little hard to read. I usually pull it, clean it, put it back in, pull it and read it, then do it a second time to be sure. From the book: Follow these guidelines: . To get an accurate reading...

    Engine Failure

That seems odd. You may want to stop by a dealer's service department and see what they show in GM Global Connect for your warranty. Maybe it hasn't updated yet. Standard warranty is 4y/50K

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

Using the controls on the right side of the steering wheel, use the left or right buttons to scroll to oil life, use the thumb wheel to turn to air filter life. That's also where brake pad life, engine revs and hours are.

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

While out running around yesterday, I checked mine. Down to 22% so I guess it's getting time. AC Delco one is $89. @rubberduck, have you used the one at Summit? Of course, not in stock until end of May.

    Engine Failure

I'm not sure if the warranty shows in the app. Perhaps someone else could chime in. If it's GMPP, it would say on the paperwork. Be careful, some dealers imply it's GMPP, and then sell you a third party warranty without saying it's not.

    Engine Failure

@TruckeeTaurus ...I agree, $1000 is stupid cheap. I can't believe you got it that cheap. Was it GMPP or third party? I bought mine from Todd at MacMulkin. Great guy to do business with. $100 deductible, 96 month/80,000 from in service date, paid around $2200
