    Maybe a dumb question…

Don’t put your feet on the pedals. Press and hold the button for a few seconds and it’ll fully power up.

Disabling GM's ability to track my CT5V Blackwing

Don’t forget to keep some cash and a passport with an alternate identity in a safe deposit box.

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

This weekend sucked, but at least I was driving the Blackwing and stayed at a nice hotel.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Watching TV coverage of Hurricane Hillary heading that way. I hope everyone out at SM is ok.

    Warning: DCMotors Anaheim

I’m with you that at the prices they are publishing I’m not interested. I paid less OTD for my loaded 2020 C8. I doubt your average SM attendee is really pushing these cars that hard - that’s based on attending 6 of their GM classes over the last 8 years. Sure you’re going to go through brakes...

    2024 MY Cadillac CT4-V / CT5-V Blackwing - What's New!

It shows it in the configurator. Of course, the configurator bombs out if you add any of the top tier seats.

    Media dumps

I’ll echo the comment that the 4BW doesn’t need an LT1. I much prefer the low end grunt of the boosted motor over the na V8.

    Warning: DCMotors Anaheim

If the price was right, I’d buy a SM 4BW for a track car. No warranty so go ahead and tune it, plus you know it was broken in and maintained properly.

    2024 MY Cadillac CT4-V / CT5-V Blackwing - What's New!

Thanks for posting those. Looks a lot like the the couple photos they released. I really like that color, but worry about how it will age. I’m reminded of my junior high math teacher who had a gold Fiero GT.

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I started a separate thread on the SPL rear toe links, but they worked great. https://www.cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/must-have-for-track-alignments.4133/

    CT5-V 5BW Wheels and Sensors

That’s what I found in my research as well. There is set of satin wheels for sale in the FS section. I’m debating getting another set of satin black or buying the tech bronze for my car.

CT5-V Must have for track alignments

I've confirmed that the SPL rear toe links for the Camaro work fine for the 5BW. Without them, you won't have enough toe adjustment to get the requisite camber. SPL part number is RTAEL CAM6 and you'll also want to get new inner toe link bolts since the factory ones are single use - they...

    4BW tire/wheel sizing for Track

I really like the 3R, so that looks like a great option. There are also a number of ways to get some solid discounts on them which makes them cheap to run (e.g. USAA). I'm not so much worried about the rake and aero, rather it's the issues that the taller fronts will throw off the wheel speed...

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

Thanks, but it’s worth noting that is the CCBs from 15+ years ago. We know the tech improved, but by how much?

    4BW tire/wheel sizing for Track

I decided to dig in to a few options in both slicks and some bigger DOT legal tires.

    4BW tire/wheel sizing for Track

John was trying several sizes, but I know he started with a 285/295 setup, I believe it was 285/30-18 and 295/30-18. He mentioned though that they had some rubbing and was experimenting with spacers as well as the different size combos. We talked about the fact that the ABS doesn't behave...

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I thought I’d save myself some hassle and drive my C8 to VIR. Blew the motor up on a Sunday afternoon and had a hell of a time getting a rental car so I could drive the 5 hours home. Luckily someone there was nice enough to deal with the tow truck coming for my C8 so I could get an Uber to...

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I’m trying run what is listed as the track alignment in the owners manual, but could only get -1.3 on the LR and -1.6 on the RR and still get the toe right. I use the CSM Performance by stands. They are expensive, if you take you’re time you can get the alignment truly perfect. I’m thinking...

    CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

I'd find a local race shop, ideally one that has experience setting up gen 6 Camaros. I've learned that the rear toe link is the same as the ZL1 so I've ordered the SPL toe link so I can get more rear camber in.
