    Track rats rejoice!

The articles that came out when they announced the precision package said they used an off the shelf 2R and not a bespoke TPC spec.

I wonder of there is some infotainment software update needed

    Used Value Trend

With that logic you’d think the used prices on these cars would’ve held up better. Having a 3 year old car worth half what a new one costs is a tough pill.

    Used Value Trend

I went to my local dealer to get a trade estimate for my loaded 22 5BW with everything except sunroof. They offered me $70k and the ‘25 with precision pack would be over 140K out the door.

Come on man. You can never have too much power and mine cruises all day at 85 MPH getting 24 MPG. Pure ‘murica

    2025 CT5 & CT5-V Blackwing Order Support Guide

I’m sure the precision package was calibrated to the lower unsprung weight of the CCBs. I’ve put a bunch of track time on my 5BW and so far the brakes, particularly the rotors, have held up well. These aren’t the same CCBs as 15-20 years ago.

    Track rats rejoice!

I’d seen his post, but was unsure of the source. I just noticed that it looks to be a slide marked “Cadillac: Confidential Internal Use Only”. I guess I can hope they come to their senses before the price is released to the public.

Are we sure about that $18000 price? That sounds like an oddly round number for GM.

If you ever plan to track the car, get the PDR. It is far more than just a video with overlay as you can load up the files in pro level Cosworth software and analyze all kinds of data. The 2025 also has a much improved in car data analysis interface that works with that huge screen. I’m also in...

    Track rats rejoice!

Figure it was driven by two things. First, making the changes necessary to get the optimal track alignment (new front uprights and rear toe links). Then bolt on some Cup 2R and then add requisite support and tuning to support the increased grip. I love what they did, and you can count on the...

    Track rats rejoice!

You don’t have someone on the assembly line swapping out the parts, the assemblies will be delivered with the right bushings and such installed. Then you need to consider incremental cost because it’s not like you’re getting two sets of parts (except rear toe links). The C7 Z07 package also...

CT5-V Has your engine blown up yet?

An LT6 would be horrible in a 5BW. No power below 4500 RPMs and I can’t imagine rolling around with the revs 5000s+ all the time in a family sedan. It would ruin the character of the car. Now an LT5 with a manual and a wagon would be awesome.

    2025 CT5 & CT5-V Blackwing Order Support Guide

If it also includes the CF1/2 then that price makes sense, but at 9K for suspension tuning on top of the hit I’d take by selling my 22, I think I’m out. I was hoping the pricing would be more like the Corvette Z07 upgrade, which is only a few hundred dollars above the CCB option cost.

CT5-V Has your engine blown up yet?

I’ve started spending more time on this forum again now that I want to trade my 22 on a 25 with the precision package. Also, my car had a cracked spark plug insulator that caused a misfire. Should I have said “yes” to “engine blown up”?

It would be great if this pushed Cadillac to do a refresh/update on the 4BW.

As someone that helped a friend install the splitter after delivery, it was a real PITA.

    5BW 6MT Performance Driving

The clutch and brake fluid share a reservoir. So if you heat up the fluid or have air in the system it won’t return unless you pull it up with your foot. It would happen to me after a couple hot laps. I ended up getting a mityvac that could pull a suction on the reservoir to remove air. Once I...

I’ve not noticed that. Only issues I had were the clutch not returning after a shift.
