They say the offset spacer is optional, and I didn't use it. It's only 2-3 mm different from OEM so you're not going to see a difference, and there are no brake or suspension conflicts. You can email them and they'll give you all the information you need.

Did you check the online service manual? It will have diagrams of the seat components (Master Electrical Component List - Component Locations - Document ID: 5752806, 5752805, 5752804, 5752803) and the wiring for the pin connections. That might give you an idea what's different between the two...
