    CT4-V CT4 V blackwing vs RS3 6 months later

I don't think this is quite accurate. In addition to the Miata comment, I think it's better to replace "GM" with "Ford and GM vehicles (any others?) with a Tremec". Maybe "GM" is sufficient if the the only vehicles they sell with a manual have a Tremec (I don't know). But in Ford's case they...

    Seat Belt Chime Disable

This is what I do (or something similar, there are many such products). Would be better if GM allowed you to disable the chime like Ford does, though. Or if the aftermarket had an easy way to disable the chime, like on my Toyota. No, I don't drive with the seatbelt unbuckled, but it drives me...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

Totally agree, except for the YouTube thing. You had help watching every video, you were not alone! In all seriousness, while a test drive is great, it's not always necessary. I was in the same boat, in late 2021, a test drive was not possible. But you don't always need to drive the exact...

    In a dilemma… Help.

I actually think the new screens make these cars (not just Cadillac, of course) *less* future-proof. People will look back and laugh and say, oh, that's when manufacturers didn't know to integrate screens into the design very well and just gave up. The screens will "date" cars of this...

    2025 CT5 & CT5-V Blackwing Order Support Guide

3-12 months, from past experience. Hope this isn't still true. My car sat 5.5 months. :(

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

+1 on the BMW schools. I've gone (fun work event). I also paid for both of my daughters to go so they can see what cars are capable of. They had a blast spending the day together in the same car (you share a car and swap drivers). Even better, BMW also has motorcycle classes at the GSP...

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

Within a few dollars of each other? What am I missing? The links you sent show the 5BW you spec'ed at $109,620. And the M5 at $127,300. Apart from all the other reasons to get the 5BW mentioned in this thread (like people said, it's not a BMW forum, so what did you expect?), I see about...

    CT4-V Steering wheel wrap/cover?

I got this nice steering wheel cover the last time I was at the dealer. Might also be a bit shiny, though.

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

Great thread, but I don't understand one part of the question. Why a "second" car? Why not a fourth, or fifth? I love the perspectives on retirement, good to hear others are wrestling with the same issues. I could retire when I choose, but I like what I do. Oh, and one vote for the GR...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

I'll guess Delirium. No worse than black, or any other dark color.

    New Member - '25 4BW on order

The omen actually tracks a different variable. I think with the goat rodeo the choice is not 6 more or fewer weeks. The omen indicates whether you have to wait 6 weeks or 6 months.

    CT5-V ZL1 1LE transmission in 5BW? Or, how the 5BW is a 7-speed missing 6th gear.

Thinking about 6th gear again, searched and found this thread. I don't even know whether we need 6th in this car for street driving the way it's geared. On the highway I'm at maybe 3200 rpm in 5th at 80, which drops to maybe 2100 rpm in 6th. If there are some uphill grades, and I'm working...

I had a few t-shirts and a hoodie made, from an image posted somewhere on this site. :)

    Media dumps

Ouch. I could be an Uber driver, I guess!! I have a Black Raven 5BW, debadged, no carbon (except the CCBs). Happy to be completely ignored (except for the few that know). :)

    Mark Zuckerberg drives a Blackwing

Zuck is no Ben Treynor, when it comes to cars. Ben was active on some car forums (not sure if he still is). And he often drove his McLaren to the office. One funny story: https://jalopnik.com/google-exec-proves-his-identity-on-car-forum-in-most-hi-5969047

    Media dumps

Not necessary. Zuck is very well-known for spending immense amounts of money on security. https://www.businesstoday.in/technology/news/story/meta-spent-43-million-on-mark-zuckerbergs-personal-security-in-3-years-report-388880-2023-07-09

    Oil Level Issue? Please help

I was not aware of that. But that is entirely consistent with my BMW experience--very frustrating.

    Oil Level Issue? Please help

BMW also helpfully would alert you that your oil was low AFTER it was already too low (based on their rather aggressive warning messages). At least that was the experience I had with mine. What's the point of an oil monitoring system if you don't get some notice *before* it's critical? I...

    It's been a year now

It's been so long since I've driven an STI. I would think that the raspy 3 cylinder of the GRC would make it sound and feel a lot different than the boxer, but not sure.

    It's been a year now

I suppose I'm used to whatever rev hang there is, not something that gets in the way of the experience. And mine does have a center arm rest, simple and common aftermarket solution. I really like the ITS as well, but it's larger and more refined. Just a different experience, almost boring...
